We partner closely with the Finance organization to continuously improve financial processes, automate manual work, and ensure the integrity of financial data across our systems landscape.</p> <p>Our team organizes our project work on a <strong>Scrum framework</strong> to focus on continuous delivery, continuous improvement, and agility. As part of our agile team, you'll contribute to the evolution of our Finance Systems ecosystem while working alongside experienced functional and technical specialists in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.</p> <h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3> <p>We're looking for a Senior Finance Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Workday Financials to help design, build, and continuously improve our enterprise Finance Systems landscape.</p> <p>Reporting to the Head of Finance Systems, you'll serve as a senior technical partner to Accounting and Finance stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into scalable Workday solutions. You'll independently lead the technical delivery of strategic initiatives, drive system improvements, and ensure our financial applications continue to support a fast-growing global business.</p> <p>You'll have significant ownership over end-to-end solution delivery—from discovery and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production support—while collaborating closely with Finance Systems leadership to align on technical direction, contribute to platform evolution, and ensure solutions support the long-term scalability of our ERP ecosystem.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the technical expert in the room—partnering with stakeholders to solve complex Finance Systems challenges while contributing to the evolution of the platform under the guidance of Finance Systems leadership.</p> <h3><strong>What You'll Do</strong></h3> <h4><strong>Solution Design & Delivery</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Lead the functional and technical design of complex Workday Financials enhancements across multiple business domains.</li> <li>Translate accounting and finance requirements into scalable, maintainable system solutions.</li> <li>Evaluate solution options, identify trade-offs, and recommend implementation approaches aligned with platform standards.</li> <li>Independently lead technical discovery sessions for medium to large initiatives.</li> <li>Own end-to-end technical delivery for assigned initiatives, from discovery and solution design through testing, deployment, and production support.</li> <li>Provide technical guidance and support to other Finance Systems Engineers during complex solution design and discovery sessions, sharing best practices and helping ensure scalable, high-quality solutions.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Finance Systems Engineering</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Configure and optimize Workday Financials while ensuring consistency, scalability, and data integrity.</li> <li>Design solutions that accurately translate operational activity into financial transactions, journal entries, and financial reporting.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvements through configuration, automation, and process simplification.</li> <li>Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and solution designs.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Integrations & Automation</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Design and implement lightweight integrations and workflow automations using <strong>Make.com (a Celonis company)</strong> and other integration platforms.</li> <li>Partner with integration engineers and external system owners to ensure reliable end-to-end financial data flows.</li> <li>Troubleshoot integration issues and identify opportunities to improve resilience, scalability, and maintainability.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Finance Partnership</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Serve as a trusted technical partner to Corporate Accounting during projects, month-end close improvements, and production support.</li> <li>Investigate complex functional issues and perform root cause analysis across Workday and connected systems.</li> <li>Support Finance teams in evaluating, testing, and adopting new functionality delivered through Workday biannual releases.</li> </ul> <h4><strong>Continuous Improvement</strong></h4> <ul> <li>Evaluate new Workday capabilities and emerging technologies that could improve Finance operations.</li> <li>Contribute technical recommendations for platform enhancements and process optimization.</li> <li>Participate in Workday biannual release planning, impact assessments, testing, and…
