This is a strong opportunity to work on utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and other high-voltage power projects across the country.</p> <p>In this role, you will support and lead a variety of interconnection and power system studies for renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects, while partnering closely with internal engineering teams and clients to deliver technically sound, high-quality solutions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys deep technical work, client interaction, and contributing to the integration of inverter-based resources onto the grid.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and support interconnection and power system studies for utility-scale renewable and high-voltage power projects</li> <li>Perform and review studies in PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, ASPEN, PowerWorld, ETAP, SKM, CYME, EMTP, or similar tools</li> <li>Conduct a range of analyses including:</li> <ul> <li>Load flow</li> <li>Short circuit</li> <li>Dynamic analysis</li> <li>Transient studies</li> <li>Renewable model tuning</li> <li>Fault analysis</li> <li>Voltage and frequency ride-through evaluations</li> <li>Grid disturbance and system performance assessments</li> </ul> <li>Develop, review, and refine power system and renewable plant models for interconnection applications</li> <li>Support model validation, benchmarking, quality checks, and parameter tuning to align with utility, ISO/RTO, and regional performance requirements</li> <li>Evaluate and support projects across solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and distribution</li> <li>Prepare and review technical deliverables including study reports, design criteria, specifications, study documentation, scopes of work, and other engineering packages</li> <li>Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, occasional site visits, and field walkdowns</li> <li>Support proposal efforts, technical approach development, and estimating for new project opportunities</li> <li>Ensure studies and engineering deliverables align with applicable codes, standards, utility requirements, and internal quality expectations</li> <li>Stay current with regulatory changes, grid codes, ISO/RTO requirements, and evolving standards related to interconnections and inverter-based resources</li> <li>Contribute to the improvement of internal workflows, tools, and methods that help streamline studies, model checks, and engineering efficiency</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program</li> <li>Strong experience supporting interconnection studies and power systems analysis</li> <li>Experience with tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, ASPEN, PowerWorld, ETAP, SKM, CYME, EMTP, or similar</li> <li>Experience performing dynamic studies, model development, or renewable system analysis for high-voltage or utility-scale projects</li> <li>Strong understanding of power system behavior, inverter-based resources, and grid interconnection requirements</li> <li>Familiarity with ISO/RTO processes such as ERCOT, MISO, SPP, PJM, CAISO, or…
