Even with treatment innovations of the last two decades, many patients with immunologic conditions continue to suffer - our goal is to fundamentally change the outcomes for these patients.&nbsp;</p></div><p>Alumis is seeking a highly strategic and execution-oriented Senior Director, Trade Operations to lead the vision, design, and implementation of U.S. trade and distribution models across its dermatology and immunology portfolio. This individual will play a critical leadership role in shaping how products reach patients and providers through agile, efficient, and scalable access pathways.</p> <p>Reporting to the SVP, Market Access, this role will operate as a core member of a lean, high-impact commercialization team. The ideal candidate thrives in a nimble environment, brings a pragmatic and innovative mindset, and is comfortable building strategy from the ground up while remaining deeply involved in execution.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h2> <h3><strong>Trade &amp; Distribution Strategy Development</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Lead the design and execution of U.S. trade and distribution strategies, with a focus on specialty pharmacy and specialty distribution channels.</li> <li>Develop nimble, fit-for-purpose distribution models tailored to dermatology and immunology markets, enabling rapid adaptation to evolving payer and patient dynamics.</li> <li>Define channel strategy, including specialty pharmacy network design, limited distribution approaches, and wholesaler partnerships where appropriate.</li> <li>Partner with the SVP of Market Access and other commercialization leaders at Alumis to assess and implement new concepts for channel strategy.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Strategic Execution &amp; Launch Readiness</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Translate strategy into actionable plans, including partner selection, contracting, and operational implementation.</li> <li>Build and implement scalable distribution frameworks to support pre-launch, launch, and ongoing optimization.</li> <li>Proactively identify and mitigate channel risks while maintaining flexibility to adjust strategy as market conditions evolve.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Cross-Functional Leadership</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Partner closely with Market Access, Patient Services, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Supply Chain to ensure coordinated and efficient execution.</li> <li>Act as the internal expert on trade and distribution, contributing to broader commercialization and access strategy.</li> <li>Collaborate within a small team of senior commercialization professionals, operating with shared accountability and a hands-on approach.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>External Partner Management</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Evaluate, select, and manage specialty pharmacies, specialty distributors, and third-party logistics providers.</li> <li>Lead distribution-related negotiations in partnership with Legal and Finance.</li> <li>Establish clear performance expectations and governance to ensure accountability and high-quality execution from partners.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Market Insights &amp; Optimization</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Monitor industry trends and competitive distribution strategies within dermatology and immunology.</li> <li>Continuously refine channel strategy based on payer behavior, patient journey insights, and provider needs.</li> <li>Leverage data and analytics to inform decisions and drive ongoing optimization.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications</strong></h2> <ul> <li>10+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical commercialization, with deep expertise in trade, distribution, and channel strategy.</li> <li>Experience operating in small, agile organizations with limited infrastructure.</li> <li>Comfortable navigating ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect information.</li> <li>Strong understanding of dermatology and/or immunology markets preferred.</li> <li>Launch experience is strongly preferred.</li> <li>Proven experience designing and implementing specialty distribution models in the U.S.</li> <li>Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence without authority.</li> <li>Agile, solutions-oriented leader with a strong bias for action.</li> <li>Hands-on operator who leads by doing, not delegating.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, or similar) preferred.</li> </ul> <p><em>The salary range for this position is $270,000 USD to $320,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices. &nbsp;&nbsp;</em></p> <p><span data-teams="true">This position is based in South San Francisco. Local candidates (onsite Tues-Thurs) are preferred.
