The engineer will implement and maintain different data stores, ensure database performance and reliability, and work with data engineers to integrate databases into data pipelines. The engineer will design and implement database schemas and structures, establish database backup and recovery procedures, and optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and configuration tuning. The engineer will implement database security controls and access management, monitor database health and resource utilization, and troubleshoot complex database issues. The engineer will manage database version upgrades and patches, implement database high availability and disaster recovery solutions, and automate routine database administration tasks. The engineer will evaluate new database technologies for potential adoption, maintain database documentation, and provide database expertise to development teams. The engineer will develop and enforce database standards and best practices, conduct capacity planning for database growth, and implement database monitoring and alerting systems.</p> <p><strong>Must have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Candidates must meet <strong>one</strong> of the following three areas:</li> </ul> <ul> <ol> <li><strong>Advanced Degree: </strong></li> </ol> </ul> <ul> <li>Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.</li> </ul> <ul> <ol> <li><strong>Equivalent Training: <br></strong>Completion of one of the following accepted training programs:&nbsp;</li> <ul> <li>4-11-C32-255A</li> <li>C-555-2016 (P/L)</li> <li>C-555-2015 (P/L)</li> <li>A-150-0929 (P/L)</li> <li>C-555-2014 C</li> <li>C-555-0050</li> </ul> <li><strong>Professional Certification:<br></strong>Holding one of these certifications:</li> <ul> <li>SecurityX / CASP+</li> <li>CCNP Security</li> <li>CISA</li> <li>CISSP</li> <li>CISSP-ISSAP</li> <li>CISSP-ISSEP</li> </ul> </ol> </ul> <ul> <li>8 years of experience managing and optimizing databases in complex environments</li> <li>Demonstrated expertise in database design, performance tuning, backup/recovery, security, and/or integration with data pipelines</li> </ul> <p><strong>Security Clearance:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Active Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI, or TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required, depending on position&nbsp;</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span class="TextRun SCXW225111203 BCX8" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW225111203 BCX8">As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of <strong>California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland</strong></span></span><span class="TextRun SCXW225111203 BCX8" lang="EN-US" data-contrast="auto"><span class="NormalTextRun SCXW225111203 BCX8">. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
