A SeniorCloud Systems Engineer will perform as a technical lead, analyzing, problemsolvingand administering more than one business domain and vendor cloud platform.This rolewill understand and develop against both functional andnon-functional requirements, which canincludedesign thinking, cloud strategies for bothinfrastructure, platforms andapplications/services; drivesprojects with a focus adhering and engineering to established guidingprinciples, platforms and standards.
Senior Cloud SystemsEngineer is expected to be a technicalsubject matter expert within cloud engineering,contribute to projects from inception to executionusing best practices. The individual will be proficientand own deliverables related toDevOpsconcepts, scripting and automated deployment, security,backup and recovery, monitoring andsupportto help drive successful project,operational stability and resiliency with a deepunderstanding of the following is expected:

• Cloud strategy, cloud provider ecosystems (AWS/Azure) andmigrating Enterprise fromtraditional data center infrastructure, Application andData design to hybrid or fully cloudenabled practices;

• Transformation/Migration methods to AWS and Azure;

• Contributing to 24x7x365 staff coverage across allbusiness and vendor cloud platforms;

• Develops security plans, testing and maintenance;

• Contributes and as necessary directly manages ManagedCloud Services;

• Automation/ DevOps/ CICD;

• Hands on experience with infrastructure as code AWS andAzure.

Key responsibilities which take no less than 10% of overall job time:

• Assists IT management in prioritizing, designing and driving cloud infrastructure for atransformational organization;

• Proficient development experience in AWS/Azure environment, experience designingand executing;

• Working knowledge of continuous integration and/or continuous deployment tools andscripting, especially infrastructure-as-code;

• Monitors, troubleshoots and resolves failed services or technologies;

• Maintain and Operationally support cloud security infrastructure across both AWS andAzure, utilizing various cloud native tools and vendor provided services and tools;

• Ability to understand client requirements from technical descriptions and demonstrateimplementation execution for both functional and non-functional requirements;

• Contribute to the technical knowledge base;

• May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and experience:

• Team player, strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills is a mustability to work in complex multi-national/multi-cultural environments;

• Solid experience (5+ years) with functional, technical and integration related topics;

• Experience with short and accurate documentation and modeling activities;

• Certified solutions architect on a major cloud platform (AWS or Azure equivalent) andadditional disciplines such as security and network also preferred;

• Demonstrated ability to bridge technology knowledge gaps between IT staff and corporatestaff such as business and product teams, compliance, security, legal and procurementgroups;

• 5-7 years of infrastructure or software engineering experience with 3+ years ofexperience in Cloud technologies/platforms and transformation;

• Strong conceptual abilities and implementation of pragmatic methods and procedures;

• Openness to new ideas and change, ability to learn, flexibility, adaptability, willingnessto innovate, unconventional thinking.
