Senior Associate, Medical Writing

About this role

<p>This role is responsible for authoring, editing, and coordinating scientific manuscript and related publications based on pre-clinical research involving medical devices. This role transforms complex scientific, engineering, and biological data into scientific manuscripts which may include peer-reviewed publications, conference abstracts, or technical communications that accurately represent study findings and comply with applicable scientific, ethical, and publication standards.</p> <p><br><strong>Primary Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Author and edit scientific manuscripts describing pre-clinical medical devices studies including in vitro studies, bench testing studies, biocompatibility studies, animal studies, human factors and usability studies, performance and proof-of-concept evaluations</li> <li>Develop publication deliverables including peer-reviewed journal manuscripts, conference abstracts, and posters and presentations.</li> <li>Review study study protocols, reports, statistical outpus, and raw data summaries.</li> <li>Synthesize scientific evidence into clear, logical, and publication-ready narrative.</li> <li>Collaborate with subject matter expert/s to interpret findings and validate scientific conclusions.</li> <li>Conduct targeted literature searches to support manuscript development.</li> <li>Evaluate scientific publications and relevant standards applicable to medical devices.</li> <li>Prepare background section, literature reviews, and discussion content.</li> <li>Coordinate manuscript development with cross-functional teams.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with GDP, journal-specific author guidelines, ethical publication standards, and company quality procedures.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong> </p> <ul> <li>Advanced degree (e,g., MS, PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent) in biomedical sciences, life sciences, biomedical engineering, or health sciences.</li> <li>At least 2 years of medical writing, scientific writing, or publication experience.</li> <li>Experience in publishing studies in peer or non-peer reviewed journals required.</li> <li>Medical device experience preferred.</li> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suites (e,g,, Word, Excel, PPT)</li> <li>Strong understanding of pre-clinical research methods.</li> <li>Proficient in oral and written English language.</li> <li>Good analytical and comprehension skills. </li> </ul> <p> </p>
