Are you an experienced intelligence or content moderation analyst who thrives on deep web-based research and turning messy, real-world threats into sharp analytic assessments? Flashpoint is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst II to join our Physical Security & Counterterrorism Intelligence team as a Trust & Safety expert in a fast-paced, product-driven environment. In this role, you'll identify, analyze, and help classify violative content tied to violent extremism, organized crime, hate speech, and harmful and dangerous activity, with a particular focus on Latin America and the Caribbean. You'll work with the client's Trust & Safety team to build and refine search strategies, assess content against platform policy, and translate live criminal and extremist activity into detection queries. If you enjoy investigative research, applying nuanced judgment to hard-edge cases, and being part of a collaborative, globally distributed team, we have a role for you.

We have a role for you if you:

- Have worked as an analyst in an intelligence role in the public or private sector, on a social media content moderation or policy team, as a socio-geopolitical analyst, or as a Latin America and Caribbean regional analyst.

- Know the political, criminal, and extremist landscape across Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, including cartel structures, FTO-designated groups, and regional gang dynamics.

- Understand the real-world and online TTPs, underground slang, and operations of criminal and extremist groups, including counternarcotics, counter-human-trafficking, and violent criminal organization contexts.

- Can navigate, pivot, and use link analysis to surface threats and patterns across multiple social media platforms.

- Ability to analyze and distill complex policy frameworks to generate actionable intelligence and identify critical intelligence gaps.

- Synthesize complex information into clear notes, structured spreadsheets, and concise written assessments, and capture action items and key decisions as you go.

- Operate comfortably in a fast-paced, product-driven environment, working semi-autonomously while following SOPs and operational security protocols.

- Are a strong self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively in a fully remote setting, and pick up new tools and workflows quickly.

What you will get to do on our team:

- Build, test, and refine Boolean search strings and keyword queries to surface violative content across verticals (violent extremism, hate and dehumanization, harmful and dangerous, harassment), tracking performance against client accuracy targets.

- Review flagged content against platform policy definitions, applying nuanced judgment on edge cases like satire and parody exclusions, coded language, and context-dependent violations.

- Produce concise written analysis and reporting on trends, emerging threats, and query performance for internal teams and client stakeholders.

- Quickly understand and act on evolving customer intelligence requirements and policy guidance.

- Write high-quality tactical and strategic assessments that inform moderation and policy decisions.

- Assess the credibility and relevance of raw content to determine appropriate classification.

- Maintain and contribute to internal knowledge bases and policy-interpretation references to keep the analyst team consistent.

- Nominate new collection sources and identify gaps in current query coverage.

- Distill complex findings into narratives that land with both internal leadership and client stakeholders, and track the impact of query and policy changes over time.

What you will achieve:

Within 30 days:

- Fully onboarded, paired with a mentor, and equipped with the access, tools, and training needed to begin working on client deliverables.

- Oriented to the client's policy framework and the content verticals you'll own.

Within 60 days:

- Developed a strong command of client intelligence and policy requirements.

- Independently investigated and drafted findings within the Flashpoint intelligence platform.

- Handling day-to-day deliverables confidently, both independently and as part of the team.

By 90 days:

- Operating at full capacity across your assigned verticals and consistently hitting client accuracy targets.

- Built working relationships across adjacent teams and established a foundation for continued growth in the role.

- Contributing new collection sources and query improvements that measurably expand coverage.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Required Skill: Native English plus full professional proficiency (C1/C2) in Latin American Spanish, written and spoken.

- Additional Language Preferences: Brazilian Portuguese is strongly preferred; Haitian Creole, French, Dutch, and Papiamento/u are highly desirable, and Russian, Arabic, Mandarin, German, Hebrew, Persian, Turkish, or Hindi/Urdu are a plus.

- Experience in online content moderation or trust and safety policy development.

- Experience investigating narcotics trafficking, human trafficking, or fraud networks, and familiarity with the operations of at least one of: Latin American organized crime and cartel networks, domestic or international…
