This role will sit under the Airbnb for RealEstate (A4RE) team and support our&nbsp; Product and Business Operations teams.</p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>The Difference You Will Make:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Data thought partner </strong>to product and business leaders, providing insights, recommendations, and enabling data-driven decisions.</li> <li><strong>Contribute towards advancing the Analytics and Data Science disciplines at Airbnb</strong>, including driving data best practices, building new data tools and data sets, expanding data education around the company and mentoring and developing other team members.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>A Typical Day:&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Drive day to day analytics and create scalable data tools:</strong><br> <ul> <li>Architect, build, and launch efficient &amp; reliable new data models and pipelines in partnership with Data Engineering</li> <li>Design, define, and implement metrics and dimensions to enable analysis</li> <li>Continue to enhance our understanding and measurement of the tools used by our partners, with a focus on driving higher host activation within partner buildings.</li> <li>Work closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists&nbsp; and other cross functional teams to build a scalable and unified attribution and measurement platform for understanding impact of product, sales and marketing efforts.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with Business Leads to design, implement, and assess offline experiments, including A/B tests and other quasi-experimental techniques.&nbsp;</li> <li>Empower the team to answer data questions quickly and easily by building high-quality ground truth data sets and dashboards. Collaborate with Data Engineering to build data tools for mass consumptions within the A4RE team</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><strong>Your Expertise:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>5+ years in industry experience and a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).</li> <li>Expert communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment. Ability to conduct rigorous statistical analysis to inform business decision and communicate conclusions to both technical and non-technical audiences</li> <li>Experience partnering with internal teams to drive action and providing expertise and direction on analytics, experimental design, and measurement</li> <li>Experience designing and building metrics, from conception to building prototypes with data pipelines</li> <li>Strong knowledge in SQL and distributed system optimization (e.g. Spark, Presto, Hive)&nbsp;</li> <li>Expert in at least one programming language for data analysis (e.g. Python, R)</li> <li>Experience with Tableau strongly preferred</li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Your Location:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager.
