Senior Accountant - Industrial Tires Import & Distribution

Join the Egypt finance team of a leading Saudi industrial tire distributor
Our client has distributed industrial tires across Saudi Arabia since the 1950s. They have 200+ employees and import from China and Turkey to serve clients throughout the Kingdom. They are now building their Egypt finance office in Alexandria and need a Senior Accountant to lead a major clean-up of their accounting records.

Why this role is different
You will start on a high-impact project to reorganize the Chart of Accounts, correct classifications, fix errors, and bring order to reconciliations. Once it is complete, you stay on as a core member of the finance team, running monthly closing, financial reporting, and balance monitoring. You will also work directly with Saudi finance leadership and external auditors.
What you will do

• Review and reorganize the Chart of Accounts and correct accounting classifications

• Perform account reconciliations and ensure balances are accurate

• Identify errors and discrepancies, then prepare and implement the journal entries and adjustments

• Run monthly closing and prepare monthly financial statements and reports

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in bank, customer, supplier, and inventory balances

• Analyze unusual variances in accounts and financial results

• Handle inventory accounting and costing

• Prepare schedules and reconciliations for external auditors and follow up on their queries

• Improve accounting procedures so errors don't recur

• Work closely with the Finance Manager and finance team to solve financial issues
Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a comparable hands-on accounting role

• Strong practical knowledge of reconciliations, journal entries, monthly closing and financial reporting

• Experience in inventory accounting and costing

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills

• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems
Strong advantages

• Background in an accounting or external audit firm

• Experience in trading, distribution or another commercial environment
