Our mandate is to bridge the traditional world of finance with the innovation of cryptocurrency products, providing our clients with a best-in-class financial institution experience.</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>The Role:</strong> <strong>Senior Accountant</strong></span></p> <p>Gemini is looking to hire a dynamic accounting senior associate responsible for creation and maintenance of financial reports and associated data supporting various legal entities across<br>Gemini. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing and high quality, established digital asset exchange that is regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services and others globally. This appointment will be central to our continued scaling as an organization and efforts to increase transparency and public company reporting. This role will be involved in key / high priority growth projects impacting the Finance department as well as the overall organization.</p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for month-end close</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Account for digital asset transactions, customer custodial funds, revenue recognition and other areas</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Analyze fluctuations and trends in financial statement line items and provide insightful commentary</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Assist with the preparation of annual and quarterly footnote disclosures</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Support internal and external audit requests, providing timely documentation and analyses</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Identify process improvements and help implement scalable accounting practices</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and account for new transaction types</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Contribute to special projects, as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>An undergraduate degree in accounting, economics, finance or related field</li> <li>3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or industry experience</li> <li>Big 4 accounting firm experience is a plus</li> <li>CPA (or equivalent license)</li> <li>Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements</li> <li>Experience with fintech, digital assets, financial services a strong plus (but not required)</li> <li>Experience managing numerous competing deliverables</li> <li>Proven track record of meeting deadlines and ownership of complex areas</li> <li>Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and changing financial environment</li> <li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</li> </ul> <div class="p-rich_text_section"><strong data-stringify-type="bold">It Pays to Work Here</strong></div> <div class="p-rich_text_section"> </div> <div class="p-rich_text_section">The compensation & benefits package for this role includes:</div> <ul class="p-rich_text_list p-rich_text_list__bullet" data-stringify-type="unordered-list" data-indent="0" data-border="0"> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Competitive starting pay</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">A discretionary annual bonus</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Long-term incentive in the form of a new hire equity grant</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Comprehensive health plans</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">401K with company matching</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Paid Parental Leave</li> <li data-stringify-indent="0" data-stringify-border="0">Flexible time off</li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary Range</strong>: The base salary range for this role is between $92,400 - $132,000 in the State of New…
