About this role

<p class="" data-start="527" data-end="897">LightFeather is seeking a Scrum Master to support a federal cloud modernization program at a large agency client. In this role, you will serve as the agile backbone for a cloud engineering team focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) delivery, facilitating the full Scrum framework and keeping sprint execution on track across a fast-moving, technically oriented team.</p> <p class="" data-start="527" data-end="897">This is a dedicated Scrum Master position — you will own the agile process. You will work directly alongside a Product Owner and technical lead, interface periodically with federal stakeholders, and serve as the team's go-to resource for sprint status, task tracking, and ceremony cadence. The right person brings solid Scrum fundamentals, an adaptable mindset, and the communication skills to hold their own in a room with senior engineers and agency customers alike.</p> <p class="" data-start="527" data-end="897"><strong data-start="326" data-end="339">Location:</strong> Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. 20006 and 1 day Telework<br data-start="378" data-end="381"><strong data-start="381" data-end="394">Job Type:</strong> Full-time<br data-start="404" data-end="407"><strong>Salary:</strong> $90,000–$115,000 annually, based on experience level.<br data-start="449" data-end="452"><strong data-start="452" data-end="478">Clearance Requirement:</strong> Active Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance</p> <h3 class="" data-start="904" data-end="932"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint reviews, and retrospectives</li> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Drive sprint demos at the close of each sprint, managing the facilitation cadence</li> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Partner with the Product Owner to refine the backlog, write and break down user stories and subtasks, and maintain sprint board accuracy in Jira</li> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Serve as the primary point of contact for sprint status visibility — pulling reports, tracking task ownership, and keeping the team and leadership informed</li> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Maintain documentation and reference materials in SharePoint; coordinate with the BA on documentation deliverables as needed</li> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Monitor and manage ServiceNow tickets as integrated with the Jira workflow, providing timely status updates to stakeholders</li> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Support change management activities at a high level, coordinating with technical team members on pipeline and security-related stories</li> <li data-start="936" data-end="1031">Act as an agile culture carrier for the team — setting the standard for how work gets tracked, communicated, and completed</li> </ul> <h3 class="" data-start="2133" data-end="2164"><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li data-start="2168" data-end="2186">U.S. Citizenship</li> <li data-start="2189" data-end="2237">Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance</li> <li data-start="2240" data-end="2312">5-8 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an IT or software delivery environment</li> <li data-start="2240" data-end="2312">Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent Scrum/agile certification</li> <li data-start="2240" data-end="2312">Demonstrated experience facilitating all Scrum ceremonies and managing sprint execution end-to-end</li> <li data-start="2240" data-end="2312">Proficiency with Jira (Atlassian) for story writing, subtask management, and sprint tracking</li> <li data-start="2240" data-end="2312">Working knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — specific platform expertise not required, but cloud familiarity is</li> <li data-start="2240" data-end="2312">High-level understanding of DevSecOps concepts and delivery pipelines, sufficient to contextualize team stories and facilitate grooming conversations</li> <li data-start="2240" data-end="2312">Familiarity with ATO (Authority to Operate) processes and federal IT security frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP) at a conceptual level</li> <li data-start="2913" data-end="2973">Strong interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage confidently with engineers, product leadership, and federal customers</li> <li data-start="2913" data-end="2973">Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC five days per week</li> </ul> <h3 class="" data-start="2980" data-end="3012"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li data-start="3016" data-end="3138">Experience supporting federal IT programs or government cloud…
