WHAT YOU’LL DO
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sales Compensation Analyst to join our global Sales Compensation team in São Paulo. This role is the operational backbone of our commission function, ensuring Braze’s global sales team is paid accurately and on time, every month. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales Compensation, you will execute within a centrally coordinated global commissions operation, partnering with colleagues across multiple regions and departments.
This role is instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our sales compensation processes and directly supports the motivation of our sales team.
Key responsibilities:
• Monthly Calculation & Payment:
• Administer the monthly calculation and payment of sales incentive compensation for all commissionable employees
• Perform monthly audits and data reviews to ensure commission accuracy and compliance
• Inquiry Resolution:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all sales incentive compensation-related inquiries
• Resolve commission disputes efficiently and process necessary corrections or adjustments in a timely manner
• New Hire Support:
• Ensure accurate and timely distribution of sales compensation letters to new hires
• Educate new hires on their incentive compensation plan and guide them on accessing their monthly commission statements
• Audit Support:
• Support external audit firms on commission-related matters, ensuring all requested documentation and information are supplied promptly
• Maintain thorough records and audit trails for all compensation transactions and adjustments
• Compensation Plan Execution:
• Support the execution and administration of sales compensation plans, policies, and processes as directed each fiscal year or as business needs evolve
• Partner with the Senior Manager and cross-functional teams (Sales, Finance, RevOps) to ensure plan logic is implemented accurately in our compensation tools
WHO YOU ARE
Education & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or other quantitative and technical related fields
• 2–3+ years of experience in sales compensation, finance, accounting, data analytics or engineering roles
• Prior experience supporting commissions for a global sales organization, supporting hundreds of commissionable employees
Skills & Competencies:
• Language: Business-level English proficiency (written and verbal) is required
• ICM Tools: Hands-on experience with an Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform is required. CaptivateIQ is strongly preferred; experience with Xactly or Varicent is also accepted
• CRM & Reporting: Experience with Salesforce. Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI is beneficial
• Data & Analytics: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups) is required. Experience with SQL or data querying tools is a plus
• Compliance: Familiarity with SOX compliance and process documentation is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly explain complex compensation plans and processes to sales stakeholders
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently, prioritize under deadlines, and manage end-to-end commission close cycles
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
