À propos du poste

ABOUT BITSTACK

It all started with an idea in 2021. Initially built to democratize Bitcoin in France, Bitstack has gone from a simple product that invests spare change in bitcoin, to a crypto-native bank bringing a better way to save, spend, and grow money to our 300K+ users. We want to rebuild finance from the ground up to empower people to achieve financial freedom by participating in a more open and inclusive financial system. We’re a small, ambitious team of operators. We believe in moving fast, sweating the details, and creating products people truly love. At Bitstack, you’ll have the opportunity to shape not just our products, but the culture and practices of our entire organization. Bitstack is backed by YC, leading VCs like 13books Capital, Stillmark, Serena, and many more. We are building a product our users love and we are just getting started!

The Role

Bitstack is a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) authorised under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will help oversee and manage the company's compliance framework, including regulatory monitoring, drafting and maintaining internal policies and procedures, liaising with authorities, and managing compliance risks.

What You'll Be Doing

. Regulatory Monitoring

- Monitor regulatory developments applicable to crypto-asset service providers (CASPs), including MiCA, DORA and the Transfer of Funds Regulation (TFR – Travel Rule).

- Assess their impact on Bitstack's business and provide actionable recommendations.

- Share regulatory updates and summaries with relevant teams and senior management.

2. Policies and Procedures

- Draft, update and coordinate the approval of compliance policies and procedures.

- Ensure that these remain consistent with applicable regulations and operational practices.

3. TRACFIN Reporting Officer

- Review cases escalated by the AML/CFT analyst team and determine whether a suspicious transaction report (STR) should be filed.

- Draft and submit suspicious transaction reports via the ERMES platform, ensuring appropriate follow-up and record-keeping.

- Respond to requests from TRACFIN, including requests for information and additional documentation.

4. Relations with Authorities and Official Requests

- Handle all requests from public authorities, including judicial requisitions and requests from tax authorities.

- Ensure compliance with applicable deadlines, maintain the confidentiality of communications and ensure that all responses are properly documented and traceable.

- Implement asset-freezing measures and submit the related declarations to the French Treasury Directorate (DG Trésor).

- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, including the ACPR's AML/CFT questionnaire, AMF regulatory reporting and the annual internal control report.

5. Risk Management, Compliance Plan and Audits

- Contribute to the development and regular updating of the AML/CFT risk classification and compliance risk assessment framework.

- Monitor corrective action plans raised by the Head of Internal Control.

- Prepare for internal and external audits, as well as regulatory inspections, and monitor the implementation of resulting recommendations.

6. Cross-Functional Projects

- Support the Tech and Product teams in launching new products, services and features by providing compliance input from the design stage.

- Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing compliance tools, including KYC, screening, transaction monitoring and Travel Rule solutions.

- Review marketing communications and partnerships to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

7. Training and Awareness

- Design and deliver regulatory training for employees, including the annual AML/CFT training programme.

- Foster a strong culture of compliance throughout the company.

What We're Looking For

- Master's degree (Bac+5) in banking and financial law, compliance, finance or a related field.

- At least 3 years of experience in compliance within a crypto-asset service provider (CASP), a payment institution, a credit institution, a fintech company or a consulting firm.

- Strong knowledge of the French and European AML/CFT regulatory framework; knowledge of MiCA is a significant advantage.

- Proven experience in preparing and filing suspicious transaction reports.

- Experience liaising with supervisory and regulatory authorities, particularly the AMF, ACPR and TRACFIN.

- Excellent drafting and analytical skills, with the ability to summarise complex information clearly in both French and English.

- Ability to make complex regulatory topics accessible and understandable, and to collaborate effectively with technical and product teams.

- Strong attention to detail, discretion, autonomy, good prioritisation skills and a keen interest in the crypto ecosystem.
