About this role
Regional Senior Business Development Manager (CSM) is responsible for driving growth of Clinical Supplies Management services across the APAC region. The role focuses on identifying and securing new opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, particularly in clinical trial supply, comparator sourcing, and global logistics solutions.
This position requires strong understanding of clinical trial operations, supply chain complexity, and regulatory environments, combined with a proven ability to build strategic partnerships and deliver commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Business Development & Pipeline Growth
Drive performance and achievement of assigned business development targets
Business Development & Pipeline Growth
Identify and pursue new business opportunities for:
o Clinical trial supply services
o Comparator sourcing and procurement
o Global logistics and distribution solutions
Build and manage a robust pipeline of pharma and biotech clients across APAC.
Lead end-to-end sales cycle including prospecting, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
Liaising with global Business Development team – with respect to the effective evaluation exploitation and implementation of various business opportunities in designated territories.
Strategic Account Management
Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Develop strong relationships with:
o Clinical operations teams
o Procurement and sourcing functions
o CRO partners and sponsors
Position the organization as a trusted partner for clinical supply solutions.
Drive account growth through cross-selling and long-term partnerships.
Compiling and maintaining a database of all agreed target clients.
Ensure that all queries received from customers which relates to products are handled within reasonable time in accordance with the company’s SOPs
Monitor trends in:
o Clinical trial activity across APAC
o Therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, rare diseases)
o Comparator drug demand and supply challenges
Cross Functional Collaboration & Administration
Work closely with:
o Supply chain & logistics teams and network partners
o Quality & compliance
o Regulatory and QA teams
Ensure feasibility and operational alignment for all proposals.
Support seamless transition from sales to execution.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Assist in business development forecasting and infrastructure utilisation.
Compiling, reconciliation and submission of monthly sales reports related to the position.
Understand and operate within:
o GxP requirements (GMP/GDP)
o Import & export regulations across APAC
Marketing
Formulate a marketing and engagement plan to effectively position Clinigen and communicate with prospective clients within the region
Develop promotional material and marketing campaigns for responsible service portfolios
Monitor market research organization data to assess trends, changes and adapt strategies accordingly to counteract competitor activities
Assist with arranging of regional activities, conferences, speakers, programmes and other promotional events
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Business (MBA preferred)
8–15+ years of experience in:
o Clinical trial supply
o Pharma logistics
o Contract Research Organization (CRO)/Contract Development & Manufacturing Organization (CDMO)/ Comparator Sourcing
Proven track record in business development or commercial roles within pharma services
Experience managing multi-country or regional portfolios (APAC preferred)
Strong understanding of clinical trial supply chain & operations
Proven track record in Business Development in Clinical Supply Management
Up to date knowledge of market dynamics
Good relationship with key customers in the healthcare sector within the region
Analytical and solution-oriented mindset
Ability to manage complex, multi-market dynamics
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
