Position Summary
The Humanitarian Assistance Support Contract (HASC) combines deep institutional expertise, technical leadership, and a strong commitment to U.S. missions. Through HASC, Team Credence provides operational and administrative support to the U.S. Department of State (DOS) to coordinate humanitarian assistance, disaster response, and foreign assistance efforts across multiple bureaus, maintaining a 24/7 response capability.
Credence has an immediate need for a Regional Health Assistance Specialist.
The Bureau for Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD) leads U.S. diplomatic efforts to advance global health security, prevent and respond to infectious disease threats, and strengthen health systems worldwide. GHSD seeks a consultant to provide compliance support for initiatives that advance the America First Global Health Strategy (AFGHS) in Asia.
The Regional Health Assistance Specialist provides strategic guidance, oversight, and technical expertise for implementing the AFGHS in Asia for a range of health assistance areas, including HIV, TB, malaria, maternal and child health, immunization, nutrition, polio, neglected tropical diseases and global health security. The incumbent works to achieve operational efficiencies with the Department of State health foreign assistance teams at posts, post leadership, and interagency team members carrying out GHSD-supported health assistance programs across Asia.
The incumbent lays the groundwork for the durable transition of health assistance, including PEPFAR (President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) activities, to a self-reliant, sustainable, country-led approach according to negotiated timelines and monitors and evaluates progress toward that goal. The incumbent supports staff across bilateral U.S. Missions in Asia in the development and execution of targeted, efficient, impactful, and accountable health assistance projects that are strategically aligned with the AFGHS and the interests of U.S. Missions.
The Specialist may work on several priority procurements at a time in multiple countries and as such must be self-driven, well organized, and knowledgeable about global health and the full procurement lifecycle.
Day-to-day oversight of the position will be provided by a designated DOS government technical manager (GTM), with formal supervisory and evaluation functions performed by a Team Credence contract supervisor.
