Headquartered in Cambridge, MA, with offices in Budapest, Chennai, Seattle, Tokyo, and Zagreb, CMT measures and protects tens of millions of drivers across the world every day.</p> <p>CMT is looking for a collaborative, customer-committed, and creative <strong>QA Engineer I, Customer Solutions</strong> who wants to join us in making roads safer by making drivers better!</p> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Responsibilities:</span></h2> <ul> <li>Advocate for and ensure a high quality user experience across the entire CMT product base</li> <li>Follow standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness</li> <li>Help create and maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based upon business requirements</li> <li>Perform functional, application, and regression tests to ensure current products meet design specifications</li> <li>Perform ad hoc and exploratory testing throughout the entire software development life cycle</li> <li>Review and provide feedback on product feature requirements and designs</li> <li>Execute tests, isolate bugs, troubleshoot, and log defects through to defect closure</li> <li>Work with cross-functional teams to explore requirements, designs, and implementations in order to execute acceptance tests and develop quality plans</li> <li>Identify and execute automation for common test cases with guidance from senior team members</li> <li>Execute functional test scripts and regression testing using automated tools</li> <li>Work directly with customers to help execute end to end testing and understand, diagnose, and resolve issues</li> <li>Complete any additional tasks as they arise</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Qualifications:</span></h2> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience and/or certification in a related field</li> <li>Minimum 1 year of relevant industry experience in QA, including internships, academic projects, or related coursework</li> <li>Analytical mindset and willingness to dig into problems</li> <li>Basic familiarity with quality assurance in one or more domains (e.g., mobile, web, backend), or eagerness to learn</li> <li>Experience executing functional and regression test scripts, both manual and automated</li> <li>Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks, or a strong interest in learning automation</li> <li>Comfortable working with regular guidance from senior engineers</li> <li>Strong collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work directly with internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Curiosity about quality metrics, release readiness criteria, and test planning best practices</li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-size: 12pt;">Compensation and Benefits:</span></h2> <ul> <li>Fair and competitive salary based on skills and experience</li> <li>Equity may be awarded in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)</li> <li>Private healthcare</li> <li>Life insurance</li> <li>Parental leave</li> <li>Flexible scheduling and work from home policy depending on role and responsibilities</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>Base Salary Range</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>The base salary range for this position is: 10,583,500 to 13,229,400 HUF.
