OutsourcedIn is partnering with an Australian residential building and construction consultancy to hire an experienced Project Manager & Estimator Support professional to assist with trade pricing, quote coordination, and project administration.
This role supports both pre-construction and live residential projects and requires strong Australian building industry experience, particularly within NSW.
Proven Australian residential building experience (NSW) is ESSENTIAL.
About the Role
You will work closely with the Construction Manager, Project Managers, and Estimators to coordinate trade quotes, prepare pricing summaries, and support internal and client-facing documentation.
This role suits a proactive, confident communicator who is comfortable liaising with Australian trades, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Strong follow-up skills and pricing accuracy are critical.
Key Responsibilities
Trade Pricing & Quote Management (Core Function)

Obtain quotes from trades, subcontractors, builders, suppliers, and consultants

Prepare and issue RFQs and detailed scope requests

Follow up with tradies and suppliers to ensure timely submissions

Review quotes for scope completeness, inclusions/exclusions, and compliance with drawings and specifications

Prepare structured pricing comparisons and cost summaries for internal review

Provide pricing breakdowns for internal teams and client-facing proposals (as directed)

Maintain trade pricing registers and approved supplier lists

Update estimates and cost trackers based on returned quotes

Client & Internal Quoting

Prepare draft client quotes and detailed cost breakdowns (non-signatory role)

Issue revised quotes based on design changes, client selections, variations, and scope updates

Ensure quotes align with builder pricing structures, approved margins, and allowances

Coordinate internal approvals prior to issuing final quotes

Maintain professional, clear documentation suitable for client presentation

Project Manager & Estimator Support

Provide direct support to Project Managers and Estimators

Assist with take-offs and pricing inputs

Support preparation of tender documentation

Assist with pre-construction handovers

Maintain variation logs, cost trackers, and project registers

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, consultants, trades)

Support scheduling and trade coordination requirements

Maintain organised project documentation and CRM systems

Mandatory Experience & Skills

Minimum 5 years experience in Australian residential building (NSW essential)

Experience within an Australian building company or construction consultancy

Demonstrated experience obtaining quotes from trades, builders, suppliers, and consultants

Experience preparing pricing summaries and draft client quotes

Strong understanding of Australian residential trade scopes and sequencing

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings

Confident, extroverted communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills

Excellent written and verbal English

High attention to detail and pricing accuracy

Strong coordination and follow-up skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently

Highly Regarded

Experience working remotely with Australian builders

Familiarity with estimating and construction software such as:

Procore

Background in estimating support, contracts administration, or project coordination
