About this role

The position of Project Assistant is a key player at TransPerfect. This position reports into the Production Department Manager. This will be a full-time position within our Hong Kong Office.

Position responsibilities: Complete administrative tasks including project set-ups, creating purchase orders, creating and tracking schedules for individual projects and department.

Organizing documents; scanning hard copies on to the network; printing files for big jobs

Formatting using .doc, .PDF, and .xls files; importing images from PDF files to Word document, etc.

Billing; contacting linguists to resolve issues such as invoice/word count discrepancies; data entry

Assist Project Managers to review documents with a strong focus on names, numbers, missing text, punctuation/spelling, grammar, adherence to instructions, proper use of glossaries/memory/reference materials, formatting or any other significant issues

With the guidance of a Project Manager, manage simple projects: Placing jobs, setting up jobs; contacting linguists, setting up deadlines, and negotiating prices

Perform other special projects or duties when required.

Ensure customer satisfaction at all times

Essential skills and experience required: 0-1+ years Project Management experience or Administration

Fluency in English & Cantonese

Superior written and spoken communication skills

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task

Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks and work in a team environment.

Must be willing to learn new things, be open to challenges and thrive on success

Strong computer skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office application

Experience with a translation or localization company a plus
