About this role
Description
About the role
Finch is a performance marketing agency. We run paid search, paid social, programmatic, SEO and email for e-commerce and DTC brands. Our clients are the companies that hire Finch to grow their business online.
We’re looking for a Production Artist (Digital Ads) to join our Creative team. You’ll turn briefs from our Creative Director into finished, launch-ready ad assets for Meta, Google Performance Max, email and programmatic display. The work is focused on execution: building, resizing and adapting assets to platform specs inside each client’s existing brand system, quickly and without drift.
This is an hourly, project-based contractor role, not a full-time position. It starts with our seasonal peak, with flexible hours.
What you’ll do
• Build Meta ad assets (static, carousel and short-form video) sized for Feed, Stories and Reels, plus Google Performance Max asset groups with images in all required ratios, logos and short video.
• Produce email headers, hero images, product modules and GIFs to spec for clients’ email platforms, and static and animated programmatic display banners in standard IAB sizes.
• Turn creative briefs into finished assets, including every variation the brief calls for, and raise questions early.
• Rebuild, resize and reformat existing client assets for new channels and placements, working inside client brand kits and tools such as Canva, Figma and client asset libraries.
• QA every asset against platform specs and the brief, then hand off organized, ready-to-launch folders that follow naming, versioning and export conventions.
Why Finch
•
Work globally, stay flexible: Join a fully distributed team across the US, LATAM, Europe, and APAC.
•
Meaningful impact from day one: Your work directly influences client outcomes and how Finch grows.
•
A culture built on curiosity, transparency, and ownership: We share context and empower people to make decisions.
•
High-caliber teammates: Collaborate with specialists in Paid Search, Paid Social, SEO, DSP, Creative, Analytics, and more.
•
Learning as a default: We encourage experimentation, cross-training, and growth as the company scales.
•
Real work-life balance: We value high performance, not overwork.
Requirements
You’ll be a great match if you have
• 3 to 5 years as a production artist or production designer building digital ad assets to platform specs, ideally at an agency producing for multiple client brands.
• A portfolio that shows Meta ads and display banners you built to spec.
• Advanced Photoshop and Illustrator skills: masking, retouching, compositing, vector work and clean, layered files.
• Fluency in Canva, including brand kits, templates and resizing.
• Hands-on experience with AI design tools such as Claude Design or Gemini, and a sense of when they speed up the work and when they hurt it.
• Working knowledge of aspect ratios, safe zones, file size limits and text guidelines for the major ad platforms.
• Experience matching several clients’ existing brand systems without drift, and picking up new client tools quickly.
• Strong written and spoken English for async collaboration.
• A base in Latin America, with at least 4 hours of overlap with US Eastern working hours.
• Availability to work on an hourly, project basis as an independent contractor.
This role is not the right next step if most of your experience is in
• Brand identity, concept development or art direction, where most of your time goes to creating new visual systems rather than producing assets within existing ones.
• UI/UX, product or web design.
• Print, packaging or prepress production, without digital ad assets built to platform specs.
• Social media or community management, even if you design your own posts in Canva.
• Video editing or motion design without static ad production.
• Illustration or content creation, including UGC.
Nice to have
• Motion skills: turning static designs into animated variants (After Effects, HTML5 or GIF banners, Lottie), cutting short-form social video in Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar, or using AI video tools like Runway.
• Comfort working in shared client Figma files, and email design within ESP constraints, ideally Klaviyo.
• Experience producing for DTC or e-commerce brands.
