Product Manager | Telematics
Teltonika · Vilnius, Vilnius City Municipality, Lithuania · 2026-07-02
About this role
We are looking for a Product Manager to join our Product Development Department in Vilnius. We are building an Automotive OEM supplier division and looking for a commercially sharp, technically credible Product Manager to join us at a pivotal moment in our growth. You will be the bridge between our OEM customers and our internal engineering and product teams – capturing, prioritizing, and translating customer requirements into a clear, actionable product roadmap using agile methodology. This is not a back–office product management role. You will be in front of customers regularly – attending program reviews, engaging with OEM engineers and procurement teams, and representing our product vision with confidence. At the same time, you will be deeply involved internally – running sprint planning, managing the backlog, and driving cross–functional alignment between engineering, quality, and program management.
Teltonika’s telematics business unit develops and produces easy-to-use GPS tracking devices for effective fleet management across logistics, agriculture, car sharing, construction, and more. We use the latest technologies to set new standards for the telematics industry.
In this role, you will:
OEM Customer Engagement
Serve as the primary product interface for OEM customers – attend program reviews, workshops, and technical discussions with new OEM prospects
Capture, document, and validate customer requirements – ensuring all voice–of–customer inputs are clearly understood, formally recorded, and traceable
Manage customer–specific requirements (CSRs) – understand each OEM's unique quality, reporting, and product requirements and ensure they are flowed into the product backlog
Business Development & Partnership Building
Travel to OEM customer sites across Europe and the UK for program reviews, workshops, and relationship–building – representing our product and commercial capabilities at senior level
Attend key automotive industry conferences and trade events (e.g. CES, IAA Transportation, Automotive World, Telematics Munich) identifying new partnership and business development opportunities
Lead RFI and RFQ analysis – review incoming requests from OEMs, assess technical and commercial fit, coordinate internal feasibility inputs, and prepare structured responses with the commercial team
Commercial Proposals & Financial Analysis
Build and own commercial proposals in response to OEM RFQs – defining product scope, pricing rationale, and value proposition clearly and compellingly
Develop and present ROI models for proposed product features or solutions – demonstrating the financial value of your product to OEM customers and internal stakeholders
Conduct TCO analysis – comparing our solution against alternatives to support commercial negotiations and customer decision–making
Cross–Functional Leadership
Collaborate daily with Systems, Hardware, Software, and Validation engineering teams – serving as the requirements authority and decision–maker on product scope
Work closely with the Quality team to ensure product requirements are correctly reflected in DFMEAs, and PPAP submissions
Support the Program Management team with product–specific content for OEM gate reviews and milestone reports
What we expect from you:
3–5 years of product management experience – at least 3 of those in an automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environment
Proven track record of managing OEM customer relationships – you have sat in front of automotive customers, captured their requirements, and delivered against them
Demonstrated commercial skills – you have built commercial proposals, conducted ROI and TCO analysis, and participated in pricing and business case discussions
Experience managing or responding to RFIs and RFQs – you know how to assess fit, coordinate inputs, and produce a compelling structured response
Strong agile practitioner – you run backlogs, sprint ceremonies, and roadmap reviews as a matter of course, not as a theoretical exercise
Experience translating complex OEM technical requirements into product backlog items understood by engineering teams
Familiarity with automotive product development processes – APQP, customer–specific requirements (CSRs), and program gate reviews
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, at both engineering and executive level, in English
Comfortable with ambiguity and fast–changing priorities – this division is growing and you will need to build structure as well as follow it
Willingness to travel regularly to OEM customer sites across Europe
Ideally, you’ll also have:
Experience with telematics, connectivity, IoT, or automotive electronics products
Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality requirements and how they interface with product development
Knowledge of OEM customer portals and supplier qualification processes (e.g. Covisint, StellaConnect, Ford Supplier Portal)
Certified Project Manager Professional (PMP), Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Manager, or equivalent agile certification
Exposure to UNECE R155 / R156 cybersecurity or ISO/SAE 21434 requirements
Lithuanian, German, or French language skills
Experience working in a start–up or scale–up environment where you have built processes from scratch
What we offer:
Great opportunities to grow in a strong and rapidly expanding company
Interesting and ambitious projects of industrial GPS tracking devices
Place where curiosity is key: here, we share knowledge and learn in training courses
Dynamic, challenging work environment and cooperation–based internal culture
Care about your emotional and physical well–being by offering flexible work schedules and health insurance
Company–paid sports activities (basketball, football, volleyball, yoga) and other sports events
Celebrating achievements and having fun together in team building, summer festivals, and other important occasions
Opportunity for solid bonuses when participating in the recommendation program
We delight with birthday and Christmas gifts and…
