To accomplish this, Decima International’s founders established a simple yet powerful formula:</p> <p>Approach each client engagement as a <strong>partnership</strong>, create an environment that attracts the <strong>most talented professionals</strong> and allows them to flourish, and regulate <strong>growth</strong> to maintain <strong>excellence</strong> in our service standards.</p></div><div class="css-qk3eq5 e37uo190"> <div class="css-1tbimoc eu4oa1w0"> <div class="css-lmh1fe eu4oa1w0"> <div class="jd-appended-job-description"> <div class="jd-section-employer"> <div class="jd-description-text"> <p>We are seeking a <strong>Procurement Operations Manager (Procurement/Expediting) </strong>to support hyperscale data center construction projects in a PMC /owner’s representative capacity.</p> <p>This role focuses on active expediting, vendor engagement, recovery planning, and delivery risk management for critical equipment and procurement packages.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Maintain factory production schedules for all critical long-lead items and monitor vendor progress against those schedules on a regular cadence - not only when a delivery is flagged as at risk.</li> <li>Actively expedite at-risk equipment and procurement packages.</li> <li>Make direct vendor calls to confirm progress and commitments.</li> <li>Conduct factory visits to verify production and delivery status.</li> <li>Identify procurement risks before they impact project milestones.</li> <li>Develop recovery plans for delayed or at-risk deliveries.</li> <li>Escalate delivery risks directly to vendor leadership.</li> <li>Present recovery positions and recommendations to the owner.</li> <li>Track purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery milestones.</li> <li>Coordinate with vendors, project teams, GC, and owner stakeholders.</li> <li>Maintain expediting logs, recovery trackers, and risk registers.</li> <li>Support procurement reporting, lookaheads, and leadership updates.</li> <li>Drive closure of open supplier actions and delivery commitments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <p><strong>Required qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related fields.</li> <li><strong>7+ years</strong> of procurement, expediting, or supplier management experience.</li> <li>Experience actively expediting equipment or material deliveries.</li> <li>Experience making direct vendor calls to confirm schedule commitments.</li> <li>Experience conducting factory visits or supplier progress reviews.</li> <li>Experience developing recovery plans for at-risk deliveries.</li> <li>Experience escalating delivery risks to vendor leadership.</li> <li>Ability to present delivery recovery positions to owner stakeholders.</li> <li>Experience managing multiple active purchase orders across packages.</li> <li>Experience working on large capital construction or infrastructure programs.</li> <li>Strong documentation, follow-up, communication, and issue-resolution skills.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience managing 40+ active purchase orders simultaneously.</li> <li>Experience supporting hyperscale data center or mission-critical projects.</li> <li>Experience in a PMC, owner’s representative, developer, or client-side environment.</li> <li>Experience with critical electrical, mechanical, or technology equipment packages.</li> <li>Familiarity with factory production schedules and supplier reporting.</li> <li>Experience with Procore, Oracle Unifier, SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Smartsheet, or Power BI.</li> </ul> <p><strong>POSITION DETAILS</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Location (On-site):</strong></li> <li>Corsicana, Texas</li> <li>Sweetwater, Texas</li> <li><strong>Position: </strong>Procurement Operations Manager, Procurement/Expediting</li> <li><strong>Position Classification: </strong>Salary-based full-time hours</li> <li><strong>Current work permit required. </strong>This position does not offer sponsorship for employment (e.g., H-1B visa sponsorship or transfer not offered)</li> </ul> <p><strong>PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Microsoft Project</li> <li>Microsoft Office</li> <li>Microsoft 365</li> </ul> <p> </p> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div> </div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Decima International is an Equal Opportunity Employer that is committed to the safety and well-being of all.
