Apt Resources is seeking a heavy equipment mechanic with experience in the field of agriculture or farming for one of its clients in Angola, to support vital agricultural operations. This hands-on position requires strong technical judgment and practical troubleshooting skills to perform dependable maintenance and maximize machinery uptime.
As a Heavy Mechanic - Agriculture, you will play an important role in keeping critical farm machinery running safely and efficiently. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working closely with site teams, responding to equipment issues with urgency, and helping maintain consistent performance across active agricultural operations.
Responsibilities
Maintain and repair agricultural heavy machinery to minimize operational downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults on tractors and farm equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service scheduling for field machinery.
Coordinate with operators to troubleshoot equipment issues across agricultural sites.
Ensure repairs meet safety standards and support reliable on-site operations.
Requirements
3-5 years of experience repairing agricultural heavy equipment such as tractors, harvesters, and other field machinery.
Experience performing preventive maintenance on agricultural heavy equipment in remote or field-based environments.
Strong hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy equipment diagnostic systems.
Relevant mechanical certification or equivalent hands-on heavy equipment training.
Ability to communicate effectively in Portuguese.
Must be willing to relocate to Angola if selected
