Part-Time Director of Operations & Shipping – Live Auction Sales (Whatnot) | Upper East Side, NYC A growing company specializing in live auction sales on Whatnot is seeking a Part-Time Director of Operations & Shipping to oversee day-to-day logistics, fulfillment, and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on, on-site role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is comfortable working side-by-side with a live salesperson during auctions to support real-time operations and shipping. Location: On-site a few days per week in our office on the Upper East Side (East 70s), Manhattan Key Responsibilities: Oversee all shipping and fulfillment operations during and after live auctions Work closely next to the live salesperson during auctions to support real-time order flow and logistics Manage inventory flow, packing processes, and carrier coordination Ensure timely, accurate order processing and delivery Develop and improve operational workflows and systems Troubleshoot logistics issues and implement scalable solutions Create and update storefront thumbnails and visual assets for the Whatnot app to support branding and drive engagement Qualifications: Proven experience in operations, shipping, or fulfillment management Experience with e-commerce, live selling, or high-volume order environments strongly preferred Ability to work in a live, fast-paced sales environment alongside a salesperson Ability to create compelling thumbnails/visuals for storefronts (experience with Whatnot or similar platforms is a plus) Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, or similar) preferred Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Details: Part-time role Onsite a few days per week (flexible scheduling) Competitive hourly To Apply: Please submit your resume along with a summary of your relevant experience.
