Operations Project Manager
General Matter is seeking an Operations Manager to join our Paducah Operations team.
The Operations Manager works directly with the Paducah Project Manager and collaborates closely with project management, infrastructure engineering, project controls, the nuclear team, and procurement from pre‑construction through project completion and start of production. This role helps develop and implement operational programs, plans, procedures, training, and processes that support General Matter’s operations.
Key responsibilities include identifying equipment needs, overseeing cylinder receipt and delivery, managing operations personnel, resolving day‑to‑day operational issues, and performing routine inspections to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications—all while tracking schedule and budget performance.
Responsibilities will include:
• Meet daily with crews to review production schedules and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available to maintain progress within schedule and budget.
• Provide technical input for project work plans and schedules; identify risks related to production, materials, equipment, or processes that may impact schedule or budget.
• Evaluate daily production, schedule status, and budget projections; accurately document project performance using company-approved tools.
• Notify team members and management of significant schedule changes and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform additional assignments as requested by management.
• Conduct required Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Participate in weekly safety meetings and present field analysis as needed.
• Support estimating with schedule development and technical input.
• Assist with development of design drawings and provide technical guidance as needed.
• Develop program descriptions, plans, procedures, and training documents to support operations.
• Maintain an understanding of company values and strategic objectives.
