About this role

The Static Maintenance Maker is responsible for the accurate and timely creation, update, and maintenance of static data in core banking and related systems. This role ensures data integrity and supports various business units by maintaining critical reference data used in transaction processing, client onboarding, and regulatory reporting.

Job responsibilities:
Static Data Maintenance:

• Create and update static data records (e.g., client, account, product, pricing, related party) in banking systems.

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of data in accordance with internal policies and procedures.

• Perform maker role duties in a maker-checker control environment.
Operational Support:

• Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., Relationship Managers, Compliance, Finance, Risk) to clarify and validate data requirements.

• Monitor and resolve static data-related issues and exceptions in a timely manner.

• Support system migrations, data clean-up exercises, and project-related static data activities.
Risk and Control:

• Adhere to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

• Escalate discrepancies, breaches, or potential risks to the appropriate parties.
Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline static data processes and enhance data quality.

• Contribute to documentation of procedures and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in bank operations.

• Basic computer literacy skills (MS365 Office; MS Excel: Pivot Table, VLOOKUP, etc.).

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Fast learner and able to multitask; able to perform data input with accuracy and speed for maker/checker operations functions.

• Detail-oriented, organised, with good time management skills.

• Good communication skills.

• Adaptability: Dynamic and fast-paced work environment which requires candidates to cope well under pressure.
