SUMMARY
We are looking for a curious, motivated New Business Intern to join our Columbus, OH team part-time, working 20-24 hours per week. This paid internship ($18/hour) offers hands-on exposure to agency new business development, marketing strategy, and brand positioning at a leading independent marketing and communications agency.
This is a hybrid work from home/office position (in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays & Thursdays) and the candidate must live near Columbus, OH.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Support the New Business team in research and prospecting. Tasks may include:
Develop one-page prospect profiles
Prepare pre-kickoff research packets for the Business Development Supervisor
Enter new prospects into HubSpot
Update CRM records as needed
Assist with the development of pitch decks, capabilities presentations, and RFP responses
Pull relevant case studies
Update team bios
Populate proposal templates
Conduct competitive landscape research and industry/category analysis
Track industry trends and category news
Build competitive agency analyses
Participate in internal meetings and provide support such as, schedule kickoffs, coordinate review meetings, prepare agendas, maintain meeting notes/action-item lists
Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Advertising, or a related field
Genuine interest in agency new business development, brand strategy, and the broader marketing/advertising landscape
Strong research, writing, and presentation skills
Comfort working with data and presenting findings clearly
Proficiency (or eagerness to learn) in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
A positive, proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and in team settings within an in-person and/or hybrid setting

Requirements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
