AXON is proudly an AVENIR GLOBAL company.</p> <p><strong>Role</strong></p> <p>We are seeking  a Medical Writer 1 (MW1), with some prior experience in the role,to join our vibrant team in the healthcare communications sector. In this role, you will be responsible for generating consistently high-quality medical content across multiple accounts in alignment with your client’s brand strategy, without compromising on quality. You will have the opportunity to build on your scientific storytelling, strategic thinking and client communication skills while receiving structured support and development.  If you are hardworking and eager for professional growth, we invite you to apply and become an integral part of our dynamic team.</p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <p>Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><strong>Accountability:</strong> the ability to process complex scientific data to produce clear, accurate, and high-quality editorial deliverables. Leverage your editorial capabilities to ensure strategic insights aligned with client expectations and maintain consistent quality.</li> <li><strong>Client Services: </strong>experience working in a medical communications/pharmaceutical agency. Engage in client meetings to refine project briefs, ensuring clarity and alignment with client expectations. Proactively assess client needs to exceed expectations and contribute to successful project outcomes.</li> <li><strong>Project Management: </strong>Must have worked on small- to medium-sized projects, ensuring adherence to high standards of quality, budget, and timeline. Monitor project progress and proactively flag any scope creep to ensure successful project delivery.</li> <li><strong>People Management: </strong>Required to foster professional development in a collaborative environment. Recognise and promote inclusivity, providing constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Essential Skills: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Some experience in a medical communications/pharmaceutical environment</li> <li>Foundational understanding of therapy areas (preferably in diabetes and/or oncology)</li> <li>Flawless attention to detail and excellent quality control skills</li> <li>Strong scientific background, educated to a minimum degree level in life sciences (MSc/PhD advantageous)</li> <li>A passion for communications and science</li> <li>Strong organisational and time management skills</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills</li> <li>A proactive, solutions-focused attitude</li> </ul> <p>Strong IT skills, being comfortable with Microsoft packages such as Word, PowerPoint and Excel</p> <p><strong>At AXON,</strong> we actively encourage the team to be involved in activities outside of their day-to-day work.
