In this role, you will support the design and development of high-power electronic products used in hydrogen electrolysis systems. You will work cross-functionally with electrical, systems, thermal, and manufacturing teams to develop robust mechanical solutions from prototype through production.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd">You will work a hybrid schedule and report to our Director, Power Platform.</p> <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul data-spread="false"> <li style="line-height: 2;">Support the design and analysis of mechanical aspects of high-power electronic products supporting hydrogen electrolysis systems</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Partner with lead mechanical designers on the layout and integration of power systems, thermal management solutions, and structural designs from prototype through production release</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Create and release detailed drawings and documentation for parts and assemblies to support manufacturing and production</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Perform detailed mechanical design of power bussing and bus interfaces for high-current DC output systems</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Collaborate with systems optimization and modeling teams to evaluate power system performance and plant cost tradeoffs</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Lead compliance efforts to certify products for US and EU markets</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Support manufacturing, testing, and field deployment activities as needed</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Contribute to design for manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability across product development efforts</li> </ul> <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul data-spread="false"> <li style="line-height: 2;">Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Experience designing mechanical systems for high-power electrical equipment or power distribution systems</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Strong understanding of thermal management, structural analysis, and mechanical integration principles</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Experience with product development processes and electronics packaging</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Proficiency with 3D CAD software and detailed drawing creation</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Experience supporting products from prototype through production release</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment</li> </ul> <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul data-spread="false"> <li style="line-height: 2;">Experience in hydrogen, renewable energy, battery, power conversion, or industrial automation industries</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal simulation tools</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Experience working closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams</li> <li style="line-height: 2;">Knowledge of applicable industry standards for power systems and industrial equipment</li> </ul> <p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Compensation and Benefits | P3</strong></p> <p>#LI-Hybrid</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="title">San Jose Zone</div><div class="pay-range"><span>$128,000</span><span class="divider">&mdash;</span><span>$173,000 USD</span></div></div></div><div class="content-conclusion"><p>Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.</p> <p>Base salary is just one part of Electric Hydrogen’s total rewards package.
