What is The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Strategy & Planning Specialist to join the Global Growth and Experiences Marketing (GGEM) team. You'll report to the Head of Strategy & Planning (Chief of Staff), and work closely with the VP and senior leaders in the GGEM team.

Think of this role as the team's connective tissue. On the business side, you'll keep our global growth and experiential (field) marketing budget on track and our special projects moving. On the people side, you'll run programs that shape our team culture, like our all-hands, and build relationships across the whole department to find ways everyone can work better together.

This is an early-career role for someone who is sharp, persistent, and trusted with sensitive information, and who also genuinely enjoys people and communications. You'll learn how a global marketing organization plans, spends, and delivers, and you'll help make it a great place to work while you do.

This role is remote within Canada, with a preference for Mountain / Pacific time.

What You Will Be Doing

Budget & Financial Operations

•
Help oversee the global growth and experiential marketing budget: track spend against plan, reconcile actuals, and flag variances early.

•
Partner with Finance and regional marketing teams on forecasting, accruals, and quarterly budget reviews.

•
Help hold marketing teams accountable to finance best practices and standards. You'll monitor compliance, follow up persistently on gaps, and help teams understand and apply the process.

•
Use our finance and planning tools to track budgets, spend, and approvals.

•
Build clear budget summaries and trackers that make it easy for leaders to understand where we are and what needs a decision.

Team Culture & Connection

•
Own our team culture programs, including planning and running our all-hands from agenda to follow-up.

•
Create moments that bring a globally distributed team together, and keep them fresh by gathering feedback and trying new things.

•
Build solid relationships across the whole department. You'll be a familiar, friendly face to teams in every region and function.

•
Help people work better together by connecting the right folks, smoothing out friction, and making it easy to collaborate across teams.

Project & Program Coordination

•
Coordinate special projects on behalf of the group and the VP, from kickoff through completion: set timelines, assign owners, track dependencies, and follow up.

•
Keep projects organized with clear plans, status updates, and documented next steps.

•
Spot risks and gaps early, select what needs to be escalated and to whom, and raise it with a recommended path forward.

Communication & Executive Support

•
Write concise, well-tailored emails, updates, and presentations for audiences ranging from regional teams to senior leaders.

•
Prepare materials for business reviews, QBRs, and leadership meetings.

•
Handle confidential business and financial information with discretion.

•
Help maintain the team's operating rhythm: planning calendars, recurring reviews, and process documentation.

Process & Tools

•
Learn and use our finance, planning, and project management tools, and suggest ways to make our processes simpler and faster.

What You Bring

•
Experience in project coordination, program management, marketing operations, finance operations, event or internal communications, or a similar role. Internships and early-career experience count.

•
Strong attention to detail, with a habit of double-checking numbers, dates, and next steps.

•
Solid project management skills. You can juggle multiple workstreams, keep them organized, and follow through.

•
Persistence. You follow up politely and consistently until things get done, even when it takes several tries.

•
Good judgment. You know when to solve something yourself and when to escalate it, and you bring context and a recommendation when you do.

•
Discretion with confidential information, including budget, headcount, and strategic planning details.

•
Comfort with numbers and budgets. You're at ease in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and ready to learn financial processes like forecasting and variance tracking.

•
Strong written and verbal communication. You can write crisp emails and build polished presentations, and you adjust your message to your audience.

•
Real warmth and people skills. You're energized by building relationships, you're a natural connector, and you can hold people accountable in a way that's respectful and clear.

•
Comfort learning new software tools quickly.

•
You're collaborative and proactive, and you're comfortable giving and receiving feedback.

•
You're located in Canada.

Bonus Points

•
Experience planning team events, all-hands, or internal programs.

•
Experience at a B2B or SaaS company.

•
Exposure to marketing, field marketing, or events.

•
Familiarity with tools like G-Suite, Zoom, Slack, Workday Strategic Sourcing, and Allocadia - as well as common project management tools.
