Management Accountant

About this role

We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Insurance Accountant (2 days a week) to join a Lloyd’s of London insurer, focusing on the management accounts function. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional with London Market insurance experience seeking a flexible part-time role within a highly respected insurer.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain the general ledger
Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage month-end close activities (accruals, prepayments, journals)
Perform expense variance analysis and resolve reconciliation issues
Support cash flow and treasury management
Prepare intercompany and recurring journals
Submit VAT and P11D returns
Run monthly payroll and process expenses
Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax pack preparation
Ad-hoc management reporting and financial analysis
Continual development of reporting solutions.

Requirements
Accounting experience, ideally within the Lloyd’s/London Market
Strong management accounts experience
Good understanding of month-end and financial reporting processes
Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a part-time capacity
Benefits
Part-time salary: up to £40k for 2 days work per week
