Our client, a leading Belgian organization operating in a key essential sector, is looking for a Mainframe Developer (COBOL) to strengthen its IT team. You will contribute to the development and evolution of strategic applications used both internally and by a wide network of partners.

As an Mainframe Developer (COBOL), you will be involved throughout the entire application lifecycle, including:

* Analyzing both functional and technical requirements * Designing, developing, and maintaining existing applications * Contributing to the evolution of platforms and the integration of new solutions * Ensuring the quality, performance, and long-term maintainability of developments * Producing the required technical documentation * Identifying opportunities for improvement and proposing innovative solutions * Collaborating closely with both business and technical teams * Working across back-end development, application interfaces, and system integrations

You are able to work autonomously on a project, from the initial analysis phase through to deployment into production.
