An aerospace and defense company is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to support multiple software product deliveries, system modernization, and growth initiatives. You'll provide technical leadership, own software products, and drive development from requirements through deployment and sustainment. Schedule: 9/80 (every other Friday off).
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers

• Use AI-assisted development tools to speed design, coding, testing, and debugging while keeping quality high

• Own the full software lifecycle; drive architecture and system design

• Work in Agile teams

REQUIRED

• BS + 9 years, MS + 7 years, or 13 years in lieu of degree

• Active Secret clearance (screening question asks about Top Secret; confirm at intake)

PREFERRED

• 10+ years professional software engineering

• Java, C++, Spring Boot, REST APIs, multithreaded applications

• Database design, Linux development

• CI/CD (Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, cloud and hybrid-cloud (AWS GovCloud)

• DevSecOps, automated testing, security-aware development

• Distributed and enterprise-scale systems

• DoD, SATCOM, networking, gateway, or telecom experience

COMPENSATION: $117,000 to $218,000 base, full benefits.
