This role focuses on building resilient, secure, and compliant Kubernetes clusters that support mission-critical workloads while maintaining the agility required for modern application delivery.</p> <p><strong>What we are looking for: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Kubernetes Expertise <ul> <li>Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, components, and operational patterns</li> <li>Experience with Kubernetes distributions: vanilla Kubernetes, OpenShift, Rancher, or cloud-managed services</li> <li>Proficiency with Kubernetes networking: CNI plugins, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), ingress controllers</li> <li>Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex distributed system issues</li> <li>Container runtime expertise: Docker, containers, CRI-O</li> </ul> </li> <li>Cloud Platform Integration <ul> <li>Multi-cloud Kubernetes deployment experience: EKS, AKS, OKE, or self-managed clusters</li> <li>Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm, Kustomize for Kubernetes resource management</li> <li>Cloud-native storage solutions and persistent volume management</li> <li>Integration with cloud security services and identity providers</li> </ul> </li> <li>Security & Compliance <ul> <li>Kubernetes security best practices: Pod Security Standards, network policies, admission controllers</li> <li>Container image security: vulnerability scanning, signing, registry security</li> <li>Secrets management integration: HashiCorp Vault, cloud KMS, Kubernetes secrets</li> <li>Understanding of zero-trust networking principles and implementation</li> </ul> </li> <li>Automation & DevOps <ul> <li>GitOps tools and workflows: ArgoCD, Flux, or similar platforms</li> <li>CI/CD integration with Kubernetes: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, GitHub</li> </ul> </li> <li>Actions</li> <li> <ul> <li>Monitoring and observability: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, distributed tracing</li> <li>Configuration management and policy enforcement tools</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p><strong>What you’ll need: </strong></p> <ul> <li>6 years container orchestration and cloud infrastructure experience</li> <li>4 years hands-on Kubernetes administration and architecture design</li> <li>Experience deploying Kubernetes in enterprise or government environments</li> <li>Experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices</li> <li>Experience in one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Go)</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus points if you have: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field</li> <li>DoD 8570 compliance with IAT II certification (e.g.: Sec+) - will need to obtain within 90 days of hire </li> <li>Strong background in distributed systems, networking, and security</li> <li>Certifications such as: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, Oracle) with container focus</li> <li>Service mesh architecture and implementation experience</li> <li>Multi-cluster management and federation patterns</li> <li>High-performance computing and GPU workload management</li> <li>Kubernetes operator development and custom resource definitions</li> <li>Kubernetes Helm chart development</li> <li>Experience developing GitOps workflows for application deployment and cluster configuration management</li> <li>Create CI/CD pipelines optimized for containerized government workloads</li> <li>Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting for Kubernetes environments</li> <li>Design automated scaling, healing, and maintenance procedures</li> <li>Troubleshoot complex distributed system issues across multi-cloud environments</li> </ul> <p><strong>Clearance</strong>:</p> <ul> <li>Must have an active Top Secret clearance; SCI eligibility preferred  </li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div…
