As we continue expanding our team and operations across Pakistan and the United States, we are looking for an experienced IT Systems & Network Administration Manager to build, manage, and strengthen our global IT infrastructure.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The IT Systems & Network Administration Specialist will be responsible for managing Nectar’s internal IT systems, network infrastructure, employee devices, identity and access management, and workplace technology.
This role will provide hands-on IT and network support for Nectar’s Pakistan office while also taking ownership of several global IT functions, including Google Workspace administration, mobile device management, single sign-on, user provisioning, access controls, security enforcement, and employee onboarding and offboarding.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent operational judgment. You should be comfortable troubleshooting day-to-day employee issues while also designing scalable systems, policies, and automation for a growing global organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
GLOBAL IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION
- Administer Nectar’s global Google Workspace environment, including users, groups, shared drives, permissions, security settings, email routing, and application access.
- Manage the complete employee IT lifecycle, including account creation, access provisioning, role changes, access reviews, and offboarding.
- Configure and maintain identity and access management systems, including SSO, SAML, OAuth, SCIM, multi-factor authentication, and role-based access controls.
- Manage Google Groups, shared inboxes, distribution lists, administrative accounts, and application permissions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, integrations, access structures, and internal IT procedures.
- Automate repetitive IT, access-management, and onboarding workflows where possible.
SECURITY AND ACCESS MANAGEMENT
- Establish and enforce company-wide access, authentication, device-compliance, and security policies.
- Conduct periodic access reviews and remove unnecessary or outdated permissions.
- Manage privileged accounts and support internal audits, compliance reviews, and security documentation.
- Assist with investigating suspicious login activity, compromised accounts, device incidents, and other internal security concerns.
DEVICE AND ASSET MANAGEMENT
- Manage Nectar’s Mobile Device Management program across company-issued laptops and devices.
- Enforce device security requirements, including encryption, software updates, endpoint protection, remote locking, and remote wiping.
- Prepare, issue, track, recover, reset, and reassign employee devices.
- Maintain an accurate global inventory of laptops, monitors, accessories, network equipment, and software licenses.
- Coordinate device procurement, repairs, replacements, warranties, and vendor support.
PAKISTAN OFFICE NETWORK AND INFRASTRUCTURE
- Manage the day-to-day IT and network infrastructure of Nectar’s Lahore office.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPNs, VLANs, cabling, and related network equipment.
- Monitor network performance, internet uptime, bandwidth, and security.
- Coordinate with internet service providers for installation, configuration, outages, upgrades, static IPs, and backup connectivity.
- Troubleshoot office Wi-Fi, wired networks, printers, meeting-room systems, video-conferencing equipment, CCTV, and access-control systems.
- Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, warranties, and vendor information.
EMPLOYEE IT SUPPORT AND ONBOARDING
- Serve as the primary IT support contact for the Pakistan office and provide support to global employees when required.
- Resolve issues related to devices, software, email, permissions, authentication, connectivity, and workplace technology.
- Coordinate with People Operations, Talent, Security, Finance, and hiring managers to ensure smooth employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Configure accounts, devices, and application access for new employees and securely disable or transfer access for departing employees.
- Develop onboarding guides, troubleshooting documentation, self-service resources, and support processes.
- Track recurring issues and implement scalable, long-term solutions.
IT OPERATIONS AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT
- Manage relationships with hardware suppliers, software providers, repair vendors, and internet service providers.
- Review quotations, service agreements, warranties, invoices, subscriptions, and renewal requirements.
- Maintain centralized records of software licenses, system owners, administrators, and renewal dates.
- Identify opportunities to reduce technology costs and eliminate unused or duplicate tools.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, disaster-recovery plans, internet-failover procedures, and business-continuity processes.
- Provide regular reporting on IT support, device inventory, network performance, security risks, and ongoing projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Approximately 5 or more years of experience in IT systems administration, network administration, IT infrastructure, or a similar role.
