Health System Specialist (Compliance Officer)

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Serving as an expert in leading and overseeing a hospital compliance program including promoting ethics and integrity on hospital processes and procedures. Knowledge and experience in working with key individuals or key Agencies that specialize in hospital compliance and public health principles such as legal experts, clinical administrators and hospital administrators through a wide range of regulatory scenarios and circumstance. Demonstrated technical authority in the performance of internal risk assessments, investigative processes, compliance incidents, report finding, and development of solutions for various system-level processes to detect non-compliance and provide corrective measures for any violations and implement systems for internal controls for continued monitoring. Proficient in preparing reports and presenting them to Executive Leadership, governing bodies, stakeholders and regulatory agencies of either deficiencies or corrective action processes. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This SPF has been added to this position as a requirement to qualify. You must show evidence of possession of a current certification as listed below and submit with your application documents to be considered qualified. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements of the closing date of the announcement.
