Together, these<br>teams ensure the consultants are fully supported - working from a strong operational base that’s efficient, innovative and<br>compliant. Business Services doesn’t just enable delivery; it empowers Alpha’s long-term success.</p> <p><br><strong>Role &amp; Requirements</strong><br>Alpha FMC are looking for a Cost Accountant to join the team to support the company’s rapid growth and following recent<br>acquisitions.</p> <p><br><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong><br>• Working in the Financial Controller teams responsible for cost and controls including the production of monthly<br>management accounts.<br>• Ensure supplier invoices and expenses are appropriately approved, correctly posted and paid. Approve new<br>supplier set up including independent bank account verification as required.<br>• Prepare / approve monthly journals for accruals, depreciation, prepayments, operating expenses etc. Working<br>with the Revenue Accountant to ensure Cost of Sales and Revenue recognition are aligned to KPIs. At all<br>stages ensuring expenditure variances to budget / expectation are reviewed and explained and/or adjusted<br>accordingly.<br>• Prepare monthly balance sheet files for relevant nominal captions. Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure<br>accurate capitalization of costs where applicable. Ensure balances are revalued, reconciliations are up to date,<br>and reconciling items are investigated and actioned promptly.<br>• Working with the Business Partnering team to provide commentary on variance analysis on the local CEO<br>packs financial statements and KPIs. Perform ad hoc cost analysis as required.<br>• Provide input into the Business Partnering led Budget and Reforecast process, including run rate analysis of<br>overheads and working capital cash conversion.<br>• Provide the Transactional Finance Team (AR&amp;AP) with assistance on bank transactions postings and approve<br>the monthly bank reconciliations.<br>• Working with the help of the Transactional Finance Team as required, prepare and submit VAT/GST returns<br>and other local compliance filings.<br>• Support the local entity and the group’s annual statutory filings, audit(s) and tax return process by providing<br>responses to information requests and follow on queries.<br>• Highlight errors or issues to the Financial Controller and resolve discrepancies<br>• Build strong relationships and rapport with stakeholders internally<br>• Manage, train and support to junior members of the team</p> <p><br><strong>We want to hear from people…
