Freelance Email Developer - Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO)

About this role

Hire Digital is seeking a Freelance Email Developer with hands-on Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO) experience (Remote) to build and support responsive email campaigns. You will collaborate with marketing and creative teams to turn approved designs into reusable, production-ready templates.

Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build responsive HTML email / EDM templates for client campaigns.

• Convert supplied designs into clean, production-ready HTML and CSS.

• Troubleshoot layout, responsiveness, and compatibility issues across devices and email clients.

• Support basic JavaScript requirements where needed.

• Make revisions based on internal and client feedback.

• Collaborate with Hire Digital’s project, creative, and marketing teams.

• Support multiple client projects and deliver work within agreed timelines.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on experience building and deploying emails in Adobe Journey Optimiser is required.

• Strong HTML and CSS skills, including table-based layouts, inline styles, media queries, and Outlook fallbacks.

• Experience with AJO Email Designer, custom HTML, and personalisation.

• Familiarity with Litmus, Email on Acid, or similar testing tools.

• Ability to translate designs into accurate, responsive email templates.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage assignments independently.

• Experience with Adobe Experience Platform, audience segmentation, Git, and supporting web development is a plus.
