About the Role
LumiMeds is looking for a Fractional Creative Strategist to help shape and continuously improve the creative strategy behind our paid acquisition efforts.
This is a senior, hands-on strategic role for someone who deeply understands direct-response creative, DTC performance marketing, consumer psychology, and creative testing.
You will work closely with our founders, marketing team, media buyers, designers, editors, and content creators to determine what we should create, why we should create it, how we should test it, and what we should do next based on performance.
Rather than managing creative production full-time, you will provide the strategic direction that keeps our creative engine focused on the concepts, hooks, formats, offers, and messages most likely to drive customer acquisition.
You should be equally comfortable analyzing a performance dashboard, reviewing competitor ads, developing new creative angles, writing a creative brief, and giving actionable feedback on an ad before it goes live.
The goal is simple: help LumiMeds produce smarter creative, identify winning concepts faster, and systematically scale what works.
What You'll Own
Creative Strategy & Direction
• Develop and continuously refine our performance creative strategy across Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and other paid acquisition channels.
• Identify new creative concepts, angles, hooks, offers, formats, and messaging opportunities based on performance data, customer insights, and market trends.
• Translate business and acquisition goals into clear creative priorities for designers, editors, copywriters, and content creators.
• Build actionable creative briefs that clearly define the audience, insight, hook, message, format, CTA, and testing hypothesis.
• Ensure creative concepts are adapted appropriately for each platform rather than simply repurposed across channels.
• Maintain a healthy balance between iterating on proven winners and testing genuinely new creative directions.
Performance Analysis & Creative Testing
• Regularly review creative performance using metrics such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, CVR, hook rate, hold rate, and conversion performance.
• Identify why creative is winning or losing and turn those insights into the next round of testing.
•
Develop structured testing frameworks for:
• Hooks
• Messaging angles
• Visual concepts
• Formats
• Offers
• CTAs
• Landing page alignment
• Identify creative fatigue and recommend when concepts should be refreshed, expanded, or retired.
• Build a repeatable feedback loop between performance data → creative insight → new concepts → testing → iteration.
Creative Research & Consumer Insights
• Continuously research competitors, DTC brands, telehealth companies, consumer health trends, and emerging advertising formats.
• Analyze competitor creative libraries to identify patterns, opportunities, and whitespace.
• Develop a deep understanding of our customers' motivations, objections, concerns, and purchase triggers.
• Translate customer insights into creative angles that feel relevant, credible, and conversion-focused.
• Stay current on platform trends and changes that may affect creative performance.
Creative Review & Team Guidance
• Review concepts, scripts, static ads, video ads, UGC, and other performance creative before launch.
• Provide clear, specific, and actionable feedback to designers, editors, copywriters, creators, and other creative partners.
• Help the team distinguish between subjective creative preferences and decisions supported by performance data.
• Establish creative principles, frameworks, and best practices that allow the team to execute faster and with greater consistency.
• Participate in regular creative performance reviews and planning sessions.
Full-Funnel & Conversion Strategy
Great ads cannot compensate for a poor post-click experience.
You will look beyond the ad itself and evaluate the full customer journey from creative → landing page → offer → checkout.
You will:
• Identify disconnects between ad messaging and landing-page experiences.
• Recommend improvements to landing-page messaging, structure, offers, CTAs, and objection handling.
• Help ensure the promise made in the ad continues throughout the conversion journey.
• Partner with the marketing team to develop creative and conversion hypotheses that can be tested across the funnel.
AI-Native Creative Strategy
We expect AI to be part of the creative process.
You should actively use tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Runway, ElevenLabs, or similar platforms to accelerate:
• Creative research
• Concept development
• Copy and hook ideation
•…
