Job Title: Founding Full-Stack Engineer Location | On-Site — San Francisco, CA Time Zone | PST

Role Overview: We are seeking a Founding Full-Stack Engineer to join the earliest technical team at a fast-moving AI video infrastructure startup. The company's first product turns prompts and documents into whiteboard-style explainer videos in seconds, with a broader vision to make video generation fast, cheap, and programmable enough for AI to use video anywhere it uses text today. This is a founding engineering hire responsible for shaping the core product across the entire stack, from user-facing features to backend systems. The ideal candidate thrives on ambiguity, moves fast, and takes real ownership of outcomes rather than waiting for a fully-scoped spec. You will work directly with the founder and help define how engineering operates from day one.

Key Responsibilities: - Design and ship features spanning frontend, backend, and infrastructure - Build APIs and workflows for accounts, projects, billing, and collaboration - Create frontend experiences that are fast, intuitive, and reliable - Improve onboarding, account visibility, and overall developer experience - Collaborate closely with product, design, and customers to prioritize work - Write clean, maintainable code and documentation for the team to build on

Required Qualifications: - Strong full-stack engineering background with modern web applications - Experience with typed languages, frontend frameworks, backend APIs, databases, and cloud services - Solid product instincts and ability to simplify complex workflows for users - Comfortable shipping quickly while maintaining reliability on critical paths - Strong ownership mentality from problem definition through launch - Comfortable using AI tools to move faster, while relying on personal judgment to define and solve problems - Must be willing to work on-site in San Francisco, CA

Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience at an early-stage startup or founding engineering team - Experience operating without a formal ticket queue or fully-defined spec - Comfortable working across product, design, and infrastructure simultaneously
