Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:</strong></p> <p>• Project client claim data to develop budgets, calculate client rates, benefit costs, and IBNR reserves<br>• Review experience reporting for accuracy<br>• Collaborate with consultants and account teams to prepare and deliver client financial presentations<br>• Assess complex client risk, understanding the strategic implications of the competitive carrier/product marketplace, and make sound underwriting-based assumptions<br>• Manage and oversight of underwriting support team<br>• Renew and market carriers for assigned book of business<br>• Analyze / negotiate annual renewals and proposals from carriers for accuracy and financial reasonableness<br>• Submit coverage specifications and obtain quotes from potential carriers<br>• Analyze client demographics and other data to determine risk and appropriate carrier product solutions<br>• Assist with product/service quality improvement initiatives as needed<br>• Assists service team in educating clients regarding utilization, carrier reports, and third party vendor applications used to view claims and financial data<br>• Educates service team regarding experience reporting, utilization, carrier reports, self-funding options, etc.</p> <p><strong>KEY COMPETENCIES:</strong></p> <p>• Advanced knowledge of coverages and services regarding employee benefits<br>• Advanced knowledge of navigating the Internet as well as various Microsoft Office programs to include Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel<br>• Strong attention to detail and time management abilities<br>• Strong ability to multi-task and assign priorities<br>• Ability to work effectively and efficiently both with and without direct supervision<br>• Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment as well as independently<br>• Good interpersonal communication skills</p> <p><strong>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:</strong></p> <p>• Bachelor’s degree required<br>• Minimum of five years’ experience performing financial analysis at a benefits consulting or brokerage firm, or comparable experience with an insurance carrier, or TPA<br>• Must have advanced working knowledge of a variety of Microsoft Office computer software applications to include Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel<br>• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands<br>• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. The position continually requires teamwork, responsiveness, demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.<br>• Must be comfortable presenting analysis directly to clients</p> <p><strong>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:</strong></p> <p>• Life and Health License<br>• Valid Driver License</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Salary and Benefits</strong></p> <p>Salary is based on background and experience.
