As an EV Reconditioning Technician I, you’ll handle the foundational maintenance and reconditioning work that gets every vehicle retail-ready, while building hands-on EV expertise under the direction of our senior technicians. It’s a role for someone early in their career who does clean, reliable work, takes coaching well, and wants to grow into high-voltage diagnostics over time. Recent graduates of accredited automotive programs are encouraged to apply.</p> <h2><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Perform routine maintenance and light reconditioning — brakes, tires, suspension and steering, fluids, filters, wipers, and 12V battery service</li> <li>Complete reconditioning tasks to prepare vehicles for retail sale under the guidance of senior technicians</li> <li>Assist with inspections and basic diagnostics, flagging issues for senior-tech review</li> <li>Follow OEM and Ever procedures for safe handling around high-voltage systems</li> <li>Complete pre-delivery and post-reconditioning quality checks</li> <li>Document all work accurately in Ever’s internal systems</li> <li>Support parts handling — receiving, staging, and inventory — as needed</li> <li>Build EV-specific skills through on-the-job training and manufacturer coursework</li> <li>Collaborate with recon, inventory, and logistics teams to hit throughput targets</li> <li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications &amp; Fit</strong></h2> <ul> <li>0–2 years of automotive technician experience, or a recent graduate of an accredited automotive program</li> <li>Able to perform basic repairs independently — brakes, tires, suspension, fluids, and filters</li> <li>High-voltage safety awareness, or willingness to obtain certification (Ever supports this)</li> <li>Strong mechanical aptitude and a genuine willingness to learn EV systems</li> <li>Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic scan tools</li> <li>Detail-oriented, with real pride in quality work</li> <li>Reliable, coachable, and a team player in a fast-paced, high-growth environment</li> <li>Passion for EVs and future mobility</li> <li>Valid driver’s license with a clean record (must be 21+ to road test per policy)</li> <li>High school diploma or GED preferred</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Technical Skills</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Foundational understanding of basic electrical theory and safe use of a DVOM (multimeter)</li> <li>Comfortable with brakes, suspension and steering, and tire and alignment basics</li> <li>Ability to follow service procedures, checklists, and repair orders</li> <li>Experience servicing EVs (Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, etc.) a plus</li> <li>Multi-make, high-volume reconditioning experience (CarMax, Carvana, etc.) a plus</li> <li>ASE entry-level certification, or willingness to pursue A-series certifications, a plus</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Benefits</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Competitive salary + performance bonus</li> <li>Health, dental, and vision insurance</li> <li>PTO</li> <li>401(k) plan</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Why Ever and this role?</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Launch an EV career with a clear, structured path to Senior Technician</li> <li>Work hands-on with the newest EV models</li> <li>Learn directly from senior diagnostic technicians</li> <li>Join the fastest-growing EV retailer in the U.S.</li> <li>Build rare, high-demand EV technical expertise from day one</li> <li>Direct impact on vehicle quality and customer experience</li> </ul> <p>Ever is an equal opportunity employer.
