You will partner directly with the business to deliver high-quality solutions to genuinely interesting problems, taking ownership of meaningful work from day one. The ideal candidate brings strong engineering fundamentals, commercial curiosity, and the drive to continuously improve both the systems and the processes around them.</p> <p class="x_x_x_x_MsoNormal"> </p> <p><strong>Responsibilities and Impact:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Modernize, extend, and maintain BOSS - our proprietary back-office platform - with a focus on performance, </span>reliability, and scalability</li> <li>Own the end-to-end delivery process: partner with stakeholders to understand problems, design solutions, and ship thoroughly tested code</li> <li>Build and architect new software to streamline and automate workflows across Operations, Treasury, Fund Accounting, IR, and Compliance</li> <li>Collaborate with engineers across the wider technology group - including front office, data, and AI teams - to tackle cross-cutting challenges</li> <li>Help drive the migration of legacy components to modern, maintainable standards</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Our future colleague has these skills:</strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field</span></li> <li>Production-level Python and/or Java experience; SQL fluency</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Collaborative, proactive communicator who takes ownership and follows through</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p class="x_x_x_x_MsoNormal"><strong><span lang="EN-GB" data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Bonus skills:</span></strong></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li><span data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">Experience with React or modern front-end frameworks</span></li> <li>Familiarity with C# (we have several legacy C# components under active migration)</li> <li>Experience in a Linux environment</li> <li>Demonstrated interest in process automation and workflow optimization</li> <li>Comfortable using AI coding productivity tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) - we use these firm-wide and expect our engineers to leverage them extensively.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span lang="EN-GB"><strong>Benefits & Compensation Information:</strong></span></p> <p>Our team is our most important asset and investment. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
