The Practice Manager will be responsible for managing a team of experts and specialists, driving technical excellence, supporting business growth through pre-sales activities, and developing organizational capabilities across the practice.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership, people management, and strategic planning skills, along with the ability to build and scale high-performing teams of experts and specialists.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Practice Leadership & Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering and Software practices</li> <li>Manage and steer the allocation of practice resources across multiple activities, including:</li> <ul> <li>Technical pre-sales support</li> <li>Technical expertise delivery to projects</li> <li>Recruitment support</li> <li>Training and competency development</li> </ul> <li>Provide line management and leadership to members of the practice including technical leadership in either Electrical Engineering or Software</li> <li>Define skills development objectives for practice members and evaluate progress and effectiveness</li> <li>Develop, improve, and standardize processes, methodologies, and tools</li> <li>Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the practice</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Pre-Sales & Technical Engagement</strong></p> <ul> <li>Technically lead pre-sales activities and customer engagements for the disciplines within the practice</li> <li>Own and oversee the practice team’s technical contributions to proposals and bid responses</li> <li>Select and coordinate participating team members in response to RFPs, RFQs, and CFTs</li> <li>Participate in client discussions, technical reviews, and solution presentations</li> <li>Collaborate with business development and delivery teams to support growth initiatives</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Skills & Competency Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Create, maintain, and manage the practice skill matrix</li> <li>Identify competency gaps and develop capability-building plans</li> <li>Develop and coordinate technical training programs and certification initiatives</li> <li>Build and strengthen a team of experts through:</li> <ul> <li>Recruitment</li> <li>Coaching and mentoring</li> <li>Internal talent development and training</li> </ul> <li>Support career development planning and succession management within the practice</li> <li>Promote technical communities, best practices, and continuous learning initiatives</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Educational Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software, or related engineering disciplines</li> <li>Master’s degree is a plus</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Required Skills & Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>12-15 years of professional experience in an Engineering or Product Development field</li> <li> 8-10 years of leadership experience, including within a cross-functional / matrix managed organization.</li> <li>Prior experience leading or managing a competence/practice department is highly preferred</li> <li>Strong leadership and people management capabilities</li> <li>Deep understanding of Electrical Engineering and/or Software domains</li> <li>Experience supporting technical pre-sales and proposal development activities</li> <li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills</li> <li>Experience in resource planning and competency management</li> <li>Ability to work across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams</li> <li>Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with industry standards, engineering lifecycle processes, and quality frameworks</li> <li>Experience managing…
