We’re currently partnering with a vibrant regional health service in Victoria seeking a passionate Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine to join their growing team.
Set in a picturesque part of regional Victoria this bustling regional centre offers a mix of rural charm and urban convenience. The Health Service:
The hospital plays a vital role in delivering high-quality care to a large catchment area across regional Victoria. The Emergency Department:
The ED sees over 33,000 presentations annually and is open 24/7, providing care across all age groups. The unit is supported by a multidisciplinary team, including Emergency Physicians, highly trained nursing staff, and experienced support teams. The department is well-resourced, clinically progressive, and offers opportunities to influence the future direction of emergency care in the region.
About the Role:
As a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you’ll play a central role in delivering high-level clinical care, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to ongoing service improvement and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert emergency care across a wide range of clinical presentations
Lead and support junior doctors and nursing staff
Foster collaborative relationships across departments for seamless patient care
Engage in audits, education, and quality improvement activities
Contribute to policy development and uphold clinical governance standards
Who We’re Looking For:
FACEM or equivalent specialist registration with AHPRA
Demonstrated experience in a comparable emergency setting
Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement
Leadership capabilities in a multidisciplinary environment
Strong interest in teaching and mentorship
