Distributor Lubrication Engineer

About this role

Optimal on behalf of its client a dynamic industrial lubricants distributor, is seeking to recruit a Distributor Lubrication Engineer (DLE), based in Athens, to strengthen its technical and commercial presence in the industrial market.
Job Summary
This is a strongly field-oriented and customer-facing role. The successful candidate will spend the majority of his/her time visiting existing and prospective customers, working closely with maintenance, engineering and production teams to understand their operational challenges and develop value-added lubrication solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Regular field visits to industrial customers and prospects.

• Conduct plant audits, lubrication surveys and equipment/application assessments.

• Identify technical needs and new business opportunities together with the Sales Team.

• Recommend products and technical solutions.

• Support product upgrades and competitive conversions.

• Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support.

• Manage used oil analysis, trials and Proof of Performance projects.

• Quantify and document customer benefits, including maintenance savings, reduced downtime and improved equipment performance.

• Deliver technical presentations and customer training

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Marine or Chemical Engineering.

• Relevant industrial, maintenance, reliability or technical-commercial experience.

• Strong communication and presentation skills in Greek and English.

• Commercial awareness and ability to translate technical solutions into customer value.

• Extroverted, energetic, proactive and comfortable spending most of the working week in the field.

• Strong relationship-building skills and genuine interest in meeting customers and developing new opportunities.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Sales Team.
