<h2><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>About the Role&nbsp;</strong></span></h2> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Chime is looking for an Director, Associate General Counsel to lead our Privacy &amp; Security team. The Director will work cross-functionally with marketing, security, engineering, product, data, and member support teams to manage Chime’s privacy program in compliance with applicable privacy and data security laws and regulations. The Associate General Counsel will also play a key role in Chime’s AI governance program.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $264,000 and up to $345,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.</span></p> <h2><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>In this role, you can expect to</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Advise teams on privacy laws, with a particular emphasis on financial privacy</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Take the lead in maintaining Chime’s privacy program to ensure it meets evolving regulatory expectations</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Work cross-functionally to develop and help manage privacy impact assessments and ensure that privacy by design is embedded in everything Chime does</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Work collaboratively with product counsel to advise on privacy aspects of product design</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Develop and conduct both general and role-specific privacy trainings</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Support Chime’s security team, including by supporting scenario planning exercises and advising on reportability of incidents to the extent they arise</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Stay abreast of regulatory and industry trends in privacy and security laws, including new regimes and requirements that may become applicable as the business evolves, and work with cross functional partners to implement necessary changes&nbsp;</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Help maintain and update privacy and security policies and notices</span></li> </ul> <h2><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><strong>To thrive in this role, you have</strong></span></h2> <ul> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in-house, with an emphasis on helping build or maintain privacy and security programs</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Interest in, and experience advising on, AI enablement and governance</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience advising a security team on best practices and preparedness</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Proven track record leading a team</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Ability to translate legal and regulatory expectations into actionable, pragmatic guidance</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Experience helping to craft privacy policies and procedures for business teams while advising on risks and providing practical options for mitigating those risks</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Flexibility in managing shifting priorities as part of a creative and dynamic business</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Outstanding professional judgment and excellent communication and drafting skills</span></li> <li style="font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: helvetica, arial,…
