<p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>DB2 Automation engineer – Z/OS</strong></p> <p><strong>Important Information</strong></p> <p><strong>Location: Singapore</strong></p> <p><strong>12 months contract</strong></p> <p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p> <p>We’re hiring a DB2 z/OS Automation Engineer to eliminate manual mainframe DBA work. You’ll build reliable automation for DB2 for z/OS operations, deployments, monitoring, and recovery</p> <p><strong>Job Description </strong></p> <p>Develop automated jobs/workflows for DB2 install, migration, PTFs, subsystem provisioning, backup/restore, utilities, and HADR/Group Attach management</p> <p>Write REXX, CLIST, ISPF dialogs, and JCL to automate DBA tasks like RUNSTATS, REORG, COPY, RECOVER, LOAD, UNLOAD</p> <p>Build automation to monitor DB2 logs, threads, deadlocks, storage, bufferpools, and trigger corrective actions. Integrate alerts with Splunk/Omegamon.</p> <p>Implement DB2 change automation using Git, Jenkins, Zowe CLI, IBM DBB, Ansible for z/OS, or custom pipelines for DDL/DCL deployment.</p> <p><strong>Must-Have Skills</strong></p> <p>5–9 years hands-on DB2 for z/OS DBA/admin experience</p> <p>Strong automation skills: REXX, CLIST, ISPF, JCL, SDSF scripting</p> <p>Deep knowledge of DB2 z/OS architecture: DDF, IRLM, EDM pool, bufferpools, locking, logging, BSDS</p> <p>Experience with DB2 utilities: DSNUTILB, DSNTEP2, DSN1COPY, LOAD, REORG, RUNSTATS, RECOVER, COPY</p> <p>Exposure to automation tools: Ansible for z/OS, Zowe, Jenkins, Git, IBM DBB/Db2 DevOps</p> <p>Understanding of z/OS fundamentals: RACF, SMS, WLM, batch scheduling like Control-M/CA7</p> <p><strong>About Encora</strong></p> <p>Encora is a global company that offers Software and Digital Engineering solutions.
