We are seeking a Data Center Systems & Liquid Cooling Technician to support Research & Development data center environments in Redmond and Totem Lake.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting advanced server and lab environments where new technologies are built, tested, and validated before broader deployment. The position requires experience beyond traditional rack installation and structured cabling. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in systems administration, server hardware support, and/or liquid-cooling infrastructure and be able to contribute with limited ramp-up time.
Experience with rack-and-stack work, fiber, copper cabling, and limited-energy systems remains valuable, but these activities are not the primary focus of the position.
Responsibilities:
• Support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual server environments
• Diagnose hardware, operating system, network connectivity, and infrastructure-related issues
• Perform server provisioning, component replacement, firmware updates, system validation, and break/fix support
• Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot liquid-cooled server and rack infrastructure
• Support cooling components such as coolant distribution units, manifolds, pumps, hoses, fittings, sensors, and related monitoring systems
• Identify and respond to leaks, pressure or flow issues, temperature anomalies, and cooling-system alarms
• Assist with testing new server, power, cooling, and infrastructure technologies in pre-production environments
• Monitor system health and environmental conditions and escalate issues appropriately
• Document system configurations, troubleshooting activity, maintenance, and completed work in ticketing systems such as Azure DevOps or an equivalent platform
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, installations, moves, and lab consolidation activities
• Install and maintain racks, cabinets, fiber, copper cabling, and limited-energy infrastructure as needed
• Maintain accurate inventories of servers, components, cabling, tools, and cooling-system materials
• Follow established safety, security, change-management, and operational procedures
