Position Overview
The Concrete Mixer Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a concrete mixer truck to transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to job sites.
This role ensures proper mixing, timely delivery, and quality placement of concrete materials while maintaining strict adherence to safety, DOT regulations, and operational standards. The position plays a critical role in supporting project timelines and ensuring material integrity from plant to placement.

Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Mixer Operation
Safely operate a concrete mixer truck to transport ready-mix concrete to job sites
Monitor mixing process to ensure proper consistency and quality of concrete
Safely discharge concrete according to job site specifications and crew direction
Coordinate with dispatch, plant personnel, and field crews to ensure timely deliveries

Safety & Compliance
Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
Maintain safe work zones and support crew and public safety
Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Operate equipment safely in varying job site and traffic conditions

Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of mixer truck and equipment
Maintain proper drum function, fluid levels, and vehicle condition
Clean mixer drum and truck after deliveries to prevent buildup and maintain performance
Report mechanical issues promptly and complete required documentation

Material Handling & Field Support
Ensure proper handling and delivery of concrete to maintain product quality
Assist crews with positioning and coordination during pours
Support basic job site activities as needed, including traffic control or setup
Adapt to changing schedules and job site conditions

Success in this role is typically demonstrated by:
Safe operation with full compliance to DOT and safety standards
Consistent on-time delivery of concrete with proper quality and consistency
Proper maintenance and cleanliness of mixer equipment
Effective coordination with dispatch, plant, and field teams
Reliable performance in a fast-paced, field environment

Work Environment
Field-based role supporting active construction and roadway projects
Combination of driving and physical work in outdoor environments
Early mornings, variable schedules, and project-based hours may be required
Team-oriented environment focused on safety and efficiency

Requirements
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Clean driving record and strong commitment to safety
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe vehicle operation
Ability to perform physical work, including climbing, lifting, and equipment handling
Strong reliability, time management, and communication skills
Preferred:
Experience operating concrete mixer trucks
Experience in construction, paving, or concrete operations
Familiarity with job site safety and traffic control practices
