If you're passionate about making a difference and believe in the power of technology to transform lives, you’ll feel right at home here.</p></div><p><strong>TITLE: </strong>College Career Advisor</p> <p><strong>REPORTS TO: </strong>Program Manager</p> <p><strong>LOCATION: </strong>Borderplex Region  </p> <p><strong>EMPLOYMENT TYPE: </strong>Full-Time, Exempt Employee</p> <p>Career Team is looking to hire a College Career Advisor who will perform professional work providing career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services to participants pursuing postsecondary education and training pathways. This role connects jobseekers and students with college, certificate, and credential programs aligned to in-demand careers. Work is performed under the supervision of the Program Manager.</p> <p><strong>Your Impact on Career Team's Success:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide career counseling and case management services to participants pursuing college, certificate, and credential pathways</li> <li>Assess participants' education, employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods</li> <li>Guide participants through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their specific educational and occupational goals</li> <li>Advise participants on college admissions, financial aid, enrollment, and persistence strategies</li> <li>Build and maintain relationships with community colleges, universities, and training providers in the region</li> <li>Stay on top of labor market trends and align education and training paths with the skill needs of area business and industry</li> <li>Counsel participants on available training programs, support services, and job opportunities</li> <li>Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up on those activities</li> <li>Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and other group presentations for participants</li> <li>Enter data into WIT and process clients through any participant information system as required</li> <li>Maintain accurate individual case files in WIT, assuring each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements</li> <li>Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation</li> <li>Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset</li> <li>Other duties and projects as needed</li> </ul> <p><strong>This position is expected to be a HYBRID position. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite as well as remotely. </strong></p> <p><strong>To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>Strong communication skills and knowledge about community and postsecondary education resources</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions</li> <li>Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems</li> <li>Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive</li> <li>Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them toward achieving goals</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written</li> <li>Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements</li> <li>A Valid Driver's License</li> </ul> <p><strong>Additional Skills/Knowledge Career Team Would Love for This Role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience advising students on college admissions, financial aid, or postsecondary persistence</li> <li>Bilingual or multilingual</li> <li>Strong multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to tasks</li> <li>Training in Trauma Informed Care, evidence-based practice, and/or whole family services</li> </ul> <p><strong>Salary: </strong>$48,000 - $52,000/yr</p> <p><strong>Travel: </strong>As Needed</p><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>About Career Team:</strong><br>Founded in 1996, Career Team, LLC is a private workforce development organization.</p> <p>Career Team’s outstanding record of <strong><em>accelerating the human condition </em></strong>has resulted in numerous honors:</p> <ul> <li>Named by Inc.
